I am level 19 but I have no idea what to do and im only level 19 because I got lost on this road where a cyclops keeps spawning also I made a fighter
I’m like 90 hours in, level 58 and I’m kinda overwhelmed by the game and what I should be doing next maybe I’m burnt out
I’m not anywhere near burned out but having to walk for 20 minutes to do a mission then walk 20 minutes back to get your reward is tiresome. Also I should be able to take an oxcart anywhere I’ve discovered not just preplanned locations
I think Itsuno shit talking that other games need fast travel because their worlds are boring and then packing the map with the same 4 enemy types literally every 20 feet is starting to grate on me. I just keep buying ferrystones and not even bothering to explore anymore
I've definitely found some hidden enemies that are really cool to just stumble across. I found the world really interesting and I definitely would have missed them by fast traveling all the time.
the first 60 hrs of this game where incredible and I’m still enjoying the combat a lot, I think I just spent so long walking around in hopes of finding certain crafting materials that I got bored. I’ve found some of cool rare enemies too but in Battahl it’s like every ten steps you take is a knacker or a harpy
Agreed on Battahl. It gets old constantly getting attacked by something. Have you encountered the headless horseman?
I did yeah that quest was cool and that whole Misty area was great. I had a hired mage pawn who kept casting Emperyan so we were basically fighting by daylight as I cleared that whole area.
Oh I didn't even know it was a quest. I was just strolling down the path and night and it got foggy all of a sudden. It was really cool.
Spoiler there’s a woman in Vernworth married to the captain of the city watch. A noble sends him on a mission to kill the horseman because he wants him to die during the mission so he can fuck his wife. It’s a timed mission and whether or not you save him changes the ending
Interesting. I never encountered that. I've also stumbled across the horseman multiplayer times now in different places.
I’m enjoying this game a lot but it really needs some polish. 1. I don’t even want to do quests because they are so buggy and/or vague. 2. Overland travel is getting to be really tedious. It makes me feel like I’m grinding now. 3. Could I get names over NPC heads, please? Especially after I’ve already talked to them. 4. pawn pathing issues. Most are just annoying but sometimes they just disappear or fall in the water on their own.
ugh, I fucked up again. Big time. Lost so much progress. Used a scroll to learn elvish, but also used another scroll I had in my inventory. Went to a crystal to see how I could change my specialization. That didn't work. Googled it, you learn the latest scroll you use; so I wasted my elvish scroll. Re-launched, and it auto-saved right before he crystal, so my scroll is lost. Tried loading last save from an inn, and it's wayyy far back. Have to redo the main mission where you attend a masquerade ball. hourssssss lost. It's so silly you can't choose your load file, or it tells you the last time you've saved at an inn (give the date and time)
It’s too late, the damage was done by me loading last save from the inn. Wouldn’t let me reload my last save after that :( I’ll just redo it all. Did find a new two headed monster.
I, too, learned the hard way to never load my inn save unless i’m absolutely sure i fucked up something that i can’t work around.
I find I enjoy this game a lot more when I just run around aimlessly with no goal in mind. I did finally take down a drake, although I used 4 wakestones. At least now I have some strategy in mind. Also, after killing it, all the advanced vocation maisters show on the map now.
If you really wanna get sidetracked go get the detection augment. I haven’t done fuck but chase down seeker coins and wakestone shards for two days
It was the most awful 20ish minutes I’ve had with the game. Its an absolute travesty that you can’t make a pawn play that garbage
I now have two of those dragon stone things that show shards so I’m gonna pop one since I am down to two wakestones.
Learning that only 400 people worked on this game as opposed to 1200 plus on Devil May Mid shows me Capcom doesn’t know ball and this team pulled off a miracle even if the game does feel half finished
Tried taking on the dragon at the ancient battle field. That didn’t go well. Guess I need to level up a lot still before going after a dragon
You’re a sorc, right? It took me a few tries to figure out how to do it. Don’t start casting if it is either locked in on you or if it’s charging up lightning or meteor. Also equip high frigor. It’s all about attrition and not getting hit. Not sure what lvl you are but you should be able to at 35.
I run with fire, ice, shock, and earth (physical) equipped normally. Weak vs. makes a huge difference in this game.
I got the detection augment, but it only serves to annoy me since I turned my minimap off (only using health bars, but might turn those off) when I started the game. It's easy enough to navigate by the roads and landmarks so I don't really pull up the map too often. I think the world is super interesting and I've only fast traveled 3 or 4 times total. I like wandering
No plans to. I thought about leveling her on sorcerer but it's much easier to find a sorcerer that is set up how I want than a mage.
I don’t know if I’m going to get through this game. Having every mission interspersed with 75 fights against enemies that offer no resistance at all and do nothing but slow me down just isn’t fun
There's a rumored hard mode coming. Looking forward to that because at this point my character just shits on everything.
