No idea I was hoping to get to that point and look more into it afterwards but from what I gather it’s supposed to be the best part of the game
Seems like the hardcore crowd is complaining about a lot. Hence my desire to give dd 1 a proper play through. I may just do that and circle back around to this one after some updates
Idk I’ve spent the better part of the morning trying to convince myself just to roll an archer and move forward
It could just be rose tinted glasses. I've seen this with a lot of games. There's always a group that think the previous game did everything better.
A lot of the disappointment comes from some of the marketing and the shit Itsuno was talking prior to release. They’ve been calling him Japanese Todd Howard. I’m enjoying the game but I only played about 20 hrs of DD1 on my steam deck like 1.5 years ago so I am by no means hardcore or a veteran.
The grimoires, are they just like scrolls in dnd? Hit pause go to items hit use and its a one time use thing?
The spells are all meant for characters that can’t use spells or haven’t unlocked them. Eventually, you will unlock most of them as mage or all of them when you unlock sorcerer. Theres a reason I’m telling you to hold on to your books that I can spoil if you like or you can either fuck it up on your own or take my advice. I’ll spoil it if you like but I prefer to just spoil mechanics
Which one do you need? I don't care about mage at all so if I have it can try hiring your pawn and sending it back with them.
I found the guy who sells replicas, and one of the pop ups mentioned being able to buy back things you may have sold or lost. Maybe go see him?
Yeah, just not a play style I enjoy really. I was using magic archer last night and got bored with it pretty quickly.
I just always make sure to hire a mage that will heal me. That's my main concern with them. I swapped my pawn over to a thief and between that and me on spearhand I melt damn near everything in the game.
I fucked the quest up where the kid is in the jail cell and he keeps giving me the same voice line over and over. I'm a level 40, fuck this kid.
Had to stop hanging out in Vernwerth because that Glyndywyr elf boi from the bow quest keeps hanging out around my house and blushing when he sees me and asking me to go do stuff with him This Arisen is taken, pal
Lol he asked me to do the same escort mission from before and I just accepted but didn't go. He eventually died somewhere.
If I put enhancement material in storage, do I need to go get it before trying to enhance stuff or is it just kind of always accessible
You can keep your fruits and meat in storage, and they won't spoil, I've heard. You can combine mats in storage. And yes, 100% keep upgrade mats in storage, don't travel with them. And don't forget to use the beetle bugs you find, those permanently increase your carry capacity.
The one exception that is wyrmlife crystals or whatever their called you get for killing a dragon. There's a specific vendor that uses those for upgrades and you need to have them on you.
I had my first run in with the plague on a hired pawn. I could have easily dismissed him, but after he told me I give too many instructions, it felt better to watch his body sink to the bottom of a river in the Guerco Mountains. He will not be missed
What’s everyone’s group mix? I am a mage/arch mage and my main is fighter/barbarian. I’ve been running magic user, fighter, thief, archer
I'm a spearhand and my pawn is an archer. Always run a mage and usually a warrior. Been experimenting with a thief instead but I think I prefer having a fighter.
