I was trying to follow a pawn who was showing me where the quest was since it didn’t appear on the map. So every time the pawn stopped, I had to stop
Down on the d pad, playboy. Get everyone to safety then readjust. I do it all the time in bakbattahl after the party is safe, focus on the pawn that was leading you then press up on the d-pad and they will continue to lead the way
Skull splitter is definitely the highest DPS attack in the game. Does insane damage. I've been running warfarer with a mix of spearhand and thief. It's pretty OP.
Hows she set up? I've got my pawn set for archer, but always have a mage with me for healing. Right now my 4th is a warrior, but had a sorc and was a lot of fun. I want them to be OP.
I run my pawn as a sorc because Aussie has his mage set up perfectly. All supports with the maister skill.
I couldn't remember at all. Luckily you can still progress the quest without that one as long as you get all other ones right.
Pretty sure I know where I found my first one. I may go do the quest and forge some of the plug token
I don't think pawns are cross platform unfortunately. I tried using a buddies that was on PC and couldn't find them when searching.
I'm trying to figure out what I want to use for wayfarer. I wish you could have 4 abilities set for each weapon I have equipped. I wanted to do a mix of Warrior and Trickster, the only two classes I have maxed out currently. It seems kind of pointless when I can't even equip more than 3 abilities and the weapon switch ability. Sticking with trickster until they hopefully change that (pretty sure there's already mods on PC that do this)
I could probably beat this game any time I want, but I haven’t explored every square inch of map yet.
Haunted Oxcart mission should have had a third option. I accepted the guys money and then threw him off of a bridge. Didn't want to take him to jail and I already know exactly what shenanigans they are up to so he was useless to me.
lol I just figured out how to give gifts. This whole time I thought it would be in the convo menu (talk, buy, sell, etc)
Without going into details much - it seems like the main quest is pretty underwhelming here? Like, I’m level 25, I’ve done the monster culling quest and that’s it. Grant seems to encompasses, basically, the entirety of the game. Is that accurate?
Yeah the main story is pretty whatever. The fun I had with the game was exploration and fighting monsters. Also trying out different vocations.
Game is great other than the extremely low carrying capacity you have. It's really fucking with my compulsion to be a complete pack rat in these types of games.
You can keep a shit ton of stuff in storage in your chests at the inns. Also, you can make the pawns carry your shit as well. There's the glowing beetles you can find that give you a capacity boost. Enhancing weapons/armor can also lower their overall weight.
Thoughts after 15ish hours -The exploration and foraging is great. Feels kinda like Skyrim where you don't get bored just running around because you constantly find stuff or run into fun enemies. -The fact that you don't get a ton of loot is a good change from normal RPG's imo. It makes it so that when you actually find something useful it feels all the more enjoyable. -Combat has a fairly steep learning curve, but it's fun when you get the hang of it. -Everything is really expensive. Can't waste money. I used the same starting bow for the first 19ish levels until I found a better one because I refused to spend half my money on one from a vender. Buying 10 explosive arrows that you might use all of in a boss fight costs like 2% of your net worth in the earlier stages of the game. Not a good or bad thing imo, just notable to me. -The movement can be really clunky sometimes. I've died stupidly a couple times falling off things because my character randomly grabs onto things it's running past and immediately vaults off of them. -It's probably part of what they're going for, but the fact that you can't really see anything during night (even with a lantern) feels more annoying than like fun realism. With no fast travel other than from select areas, (Or one stupidly expensive form of it) trying to navigate your way through some dense forests with specific pathways you have to take to get out (Combined with a map that doesn't very well explain whether you need to go upwards, downwards, or stay on the same path) can be really frustrating and lead to running in circles a lot. -Having to store pretty much everything you found after every 45 minute excursion you go on is a little annoying. 8/10. Very good game. A couple simple quality of life improvements I think would make it great.
