Power walking is my new preferred term, I will use this to get out of doing stuff around the house.thanks Owsley
I usually walk a mile in ~13 minutes with some pretty gnarly hills involved. It’s a workout for sure.
Just kidding, I know some people here have back issues(can’t remember if you are part of that crew) but chronic back pain is no joke. I will always laugh at power walk though :)
I do some room exercises with my wife, but to be honest, I just enjoy getting out more than anything. Stationary workouts have never been my jam.
That’s the best way to go about it, I was asking because I will eventually have issues with my back and I should probably start with that type of workout(Pilates) to strengthen my core
Yeah I don't know what that is. I've run 26 miles in the 7's but can't relate to a power walk in the 13's
look at that young buck throwing running numbers in a power walking discussion, son you better learn your place before you open that mouth
My best 10k time when I ran was 7:15 pace. I can’t imagine marathoning at that pace. I was a pretty comfortable 8 minute miler, though.
some people are machine, but it’s not always great. I think diversity and balançe is the best way to be healthy
When I walk my springer spaniel at the park, the pace of the expedition and duration is determined by the good smells (I let him smell stuff), and how hot it is. We do 2.2 miles in 35- 40 mins if it is under 50 degrees. If it is 72 degrees, we go all the way around one day, next 1000 yards and he lays down, then bounds forward on the way back. He just likes riding in the car and smelling stuff.
I could definitely beat my Great Dane in a fight, largely because he is a pacifist and would never harm me. Trying to control him when we had a female foster in heat at the house before he was neutered definitely humbled me a bit, though.
He also tried to befriend a couple of cats and got slapped in the face, so he steers clear of them as well.
my guy used to do the same, wanted to be friend with a cat and got slapped so he would always keep away from cats.
i was on my way to make a huge deal but after seeing that picture I think I better stay put, it’s too dangerous right now
Yeah, I'm not even bothering with those delusional peanuts. They're either being smartasses or they're completely detached from reality.
Obviously if it’s close combat a human will win but what if they keep hitting me and flying away quickly. I need to educate myself more on defeating birds. Think I can beat a king cobra
I found one of the women who checked yes on bear. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nb...owner-pushes-mama-bear-wall-cubs/2607558/?amp
No one ever answered the question about what we are wearing in this scenario. If we are naked it's a game changer. If we can wear shoes and jeans the snake is more plausible.
