Can't be very many of those Inter teammates that have experienced anything like that, can there? Messi, Business, Alba to their teammates:
https://www.espn.com/soccer/report/...c&RuleNumber=Not Applicable&consent_mode=ccpa Lost to Neymar’s Saudi team(Neymar injured). Play Ronaldo’s team Thursday
they really trying to make a geo politics situation over a pro athlete in his upper 30s playing it safe in the preseason. Touch grass China
should probably target their anger at the people who scheduled the preseason gauntlet of a money grab that had zero chance of featuring Messi in every match
Someone with more creativity could make a nice Posh tell the truth meme out of this international incident
It’s a small detail, but I liked how he pulled the ball to the left before putting it in instead of immediately trying to do so. Both the GK and the defender were expecting the latter and ended up running right past the ball.
An MLS attack having Messi, Suarez, and Alba is so absurd. Their understanding of each other is off the charts. I’m pretty you could blindfold the three of them and they could still pick out a pass to each other at any given moment.
It will always be hilarious that he’s in the MLS. It’s awesome, for sure, but it’s like lebron against college players. He’s bringing all his buddies with him, and they are too good together.
Yeah it’s wild from people who watch the highlights to make this indictment. The league is flourishing (until Apple and PE fuck it up, of course)
whataboutism no one said liga mx was elite edit: Technically its top 10 in the world so u have a point
I am not going to claim to be as knowledgeable as Dirt but the lack of any resistance in these Messi MLS games are making it tougher to watch .
Last week vs LA they didn’t create a single chance until they went up a man in the 90th (for a wrongly awarded red card)
In 22-23 he had 20 goals and 20 assists in 39 matches against Ligue 1 and Champions League opposition. He had 7 goals and 3 assists in 7 games in the 2022 World Cup. In his last season at Barcelona he put up 30 goals and 9 assists in 33 matches. He's played 7 MLS league matches and has 4 goals and 3 assists against MLS opposition. No one is claiming MLS is an elite league. But trashing the league because he's ripping it up is asinine.
Friendly reminder the current structure of the league itself greatly favors attacking soccer (also why the leagues fun as hell). When the rules say you can spend $60 million on 3 Messi’s but only have $5 million for the other 27 dudes you’re going to go out and sign attacking superstars like Messi and Pulido. Sorry Virgil, no one’s dropping a bag for you to anchor their back line, that’s not sexy. Now what happened this summer when they blow up the current rules? Who’s to say?
And I always go to the Liga MX comparison but it’s not really fair. Liga MX is a superior league, their top teams spend around $100 million (and a lot more under the table). But as seen over the past couple years MLS’ top 18s are just as good as theirs but the depth isn’t there. For Euro comparisons the Columbus Crew can beat any team in the Championship but would finish in the bottom 1/3 of the table because they can’t do that 40 times. What’s really annoying is when people say things like “Wrexham would dominate MLS” after watching an FX show. No, they would get murdered and win the spoon.
Think it was just an off day. Many handsome and well endowed posters picked them to win the East this year. Many.
YIKES! Pretty obvious this was 100% on purpose. I wonder if they’ll press chargers or if Beckham will pay them off.
If my cousin that lives in Charlotte’s relationship with her boyfriend lasts 3 more months and Messi is able to play, I’ll get to see him play with two actual Argentinians. I’m not allowed to talk politics because the boyfriend’s dad loves Argentina’s insanely stupid President.
