Everything I saw about AoT ending had me thinking it was going to be awful, but I thought it was fine and it fit in with the bleak atmosphere of the entire show. Spoiler Still should’ve saved Erwin over armin
That show was fucking awesome. Legit sad I watched it so fast and now I don’t have any new episodes to watch. I don’t even like anime
Think I need to rewatch the last couple seasons before I dive into the AoT final season, final episodes, finally, after a couple other finals, it’s final now, season.
Finished up AOT, what a convoluted mess of a finale but it did not ruin the show for me like how GOT's ending did. Still one of my favorite shows ever
Apparently Netflix live action adaptions (Yu Yu Hakusho, One Piece and Avatar upcoming) are getting great reviews?
One Piece was surprisingly good and fun. I have no faith in Yu Yu Hakusho but the fight scenes look dope.
I remember One Piece broke some streaming record held by Stranger Things. For the anime itself, the dubs are almost fully caught up, I think they’re within 100 or so episodes of the subs now.
Speaking of. This could be neat. By episode 1000 it’s an actual anime but all of those early seasons are so goofy and childish.
Holy shit. Sanji v Queen and especially Zoro v King is some of the best stuff I’ve ever seen. Up there with the top MHA moments to me. Too bad you have to invest over 1000 episodes to get to that point.
Migi and Dali is like a mix of Promised Neverland and Pinky and the Brain. It is as weird as it sounds though the usual caveats apply for uncomfortable anime things
Girlfriend wanted to watch goblin slayer last night. I told her the first episode is dark but she still wanted to. My face:
Pretty disappointed. I mean, it’s just a few stills so who knows. These are better than where the show starts by a lot but a step back from where it currently is.
Oh man. Episode 5 of Blue Eye was insanely good story telling; just wish it didn’t feel like I was watching Mulan or some shit in terms of the animation.
Netflix just said they’re starting from the beginning with the studio that did AoT. From reading the comments I guess that style is truer to the Manga but I was hoping for something more adult. Hell, the anime style in the newest season is actually pretty damn good. Still not elite but much better than the first 800 or so episodes.
Toss in Nico vs Black Marie. A lot of elite anime moments tucked away in episodes in the 1060 region.
Itadori’s development is such a refreshing change from your standard shonen. Everything about that show is masterclass.
Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash. Whoa. Glad I gave it a chance despite knowing it’ll probably never get a second season.
Anyone watching Solo Leveling? Based off the Korean manhwa. Episode five just aired on Crunchyroll. Haven’t read the manhwa, but from what I can gather, it’s similar Demon Slayer where the animation and action sequences are top-tier with the storyline being pretty straightforward. Enjoying it so far.
Animation is nowhere near Demon Slayer levels. It looks very CGI but in a good way. The most recent episode was a game changer for me. Show was very trope until the new episode.
