Not RDR, but my friend group and I would randomly play high stakes poker in GTA online and it provided more fun than most of the online content
If I recall, there was an AMA with one of the designers a few years ago and he basically said there’s no way to win consistently. Apparently there was some glitch in the original RDR that let you just rack up a fortune on dominoes and blackjack so they did it this way to keep it from getting exploited. I just feel like maybe there’s a middle ground somewhere.
Getting to the epilogue is so bittersweet. You get to unlock the whole map, but then you're stuck playing as John. I guess the one nice thing (besides the map) is that honor doesn't matter anymore.
They’ll still chase you if you commit war crimes tho. You can just throw your mini camp up and fast travel to anywhere and pay off the 5 cent bounty but it’s still nice to feel wanted.
