this last time we did banchan sampler and bbq platter w/rice. just replicated a korean bbq meal and it was incredible and enormous portions. the $75/pp tasting thing they do is an absurd value especially if you haven't had much korean food before.
Going over 1st weekend of NCAA, wanting to go to knights game. Is it needed to get tickets in advance, or would be ok to buy day of or day before? Was t sure what their turnout is like.
I went to the final regular season game last year. It was sold out, but I got tickets the morning of through the ticket exchange on the Knights website. Might be a little different with the March Madness crowd, but maybe the majority of those people will be watching games vs attending hockey.
got invited for a buddy's 40th birthday in vegas in late June. Mostly will be with people I don't know, which in my opinion is the best type of Vegas trip because beforehand I try to predict who the liabilities will be
Good news for you Marriott fans: https://www.sfgate.com/travel/article/las-vegas-marriott-mgm-partnership-explained-18755820.php
I'll be climbing out in Red Rocks this weekend, but plan to stay through the week and then hang out next weekend for the open rounds of the tournament.
If you want a good cheap show pick the stage seats at mad apple, ends up like 50 a person including fees.
Like if you get there when they open at seven maybe 10-20 people in line. Later than that it’s a Disney ride line long.
Just booked a room for next weekend Turtlehead Peak, Calico Tanks and cheap ethnic food here we come baby Will have a 5-week stretch where I spent weekends in Joshua Tree, Flagstaff, Sedona, Vegas and Monument Valley
Caesars food options mostly suck. My opinion was just grab Halal Guys from the food court but even the reviews for that arent good
There's a halal guys in the food court before you get to the forum shops that always hits the spot and is quick are you asking sportsbook for this Thursday/Friday? If so you might be behind the 8 ball, they sell seats ahead of time and are probably already sold out
It’s great until they want to charge you for Week Zero CFB. My buddy is diamond or higher (forgot their tiers) and they were gonna charge us to watch. Same happened to some pro guys that we met the next day at the book.
I was put up there by my work for a few days when I first moved to Vegas. It is always packed because they pride themselves on having "Old Vegas" value. It is not particularly nice or fancy. My room was clean and recently remodeled. The new rooms have hard wood floors instead of carpet, you probably want to ask for that. Has the old smell of cigarettes. All their blackjack tables are 3:2 which is nice if that is your thing. I forget the name but the "high end" restaurant in there but it is supposed to be decent. There is also a bowling alley. They host rodeos so it gets very cowboy if there is an event going on. It basically reminds me of a Council Bluffs, Iowa casino on steroids.
I should also say they call themselves the “tip of the strip” which is accurate if you include the 5 miles of desert and suburbs between Mandalay Bay and South Point as part of the strip.
FYI. Bowling access might be limited due to: “The 2024 USBC Open Championships will return to the South Point Bowling Plaza and take place for 136 consecutive days, running from March 2 to July 15.”
I love Caesars sports book on strip. Leather chairs, bar right behind it, you can get food delivered to your seat(for 14.99 delivery fee). Food there is pretty meh. But what I'll usually do is get a bong drink from numb bar frozen cocktails and get a crunch burger from bobby flay's delivered. Its perfectly set up for me to be a huge piece of shit. MgM's I see was mentioned, its not bad, but a little cramped and the screens are kind of vertical and shitty. It used to be my go to until I explored more outside of my comfort zone. Mandalay and Wynn have nice areas, but not so much comfy to sit in all day. A sneaky good one is at Planet hollywood. It is insanely tiny, its like you're in someones living room but it has pin up pizza and earl of sandwich within 30 steps of your seat. Also usually very few people in there.
