Downtown is good for about a day at a time, rotating the strip in is the best way to do it IMO. It's mostly gambling as opposed the the strip which offers a lot of other time wasters. Deuce/SDX if you're ok with buses. 100% cheapest and just as quick as a cab.
Cabs all the way, imo. Especially if you're trying to quickly get from the Strip to Fremont or Rhino or somewhere else a little ways off the strip.
Also, you're a poker player, right? From what I saw the poker downtown isn't very abundant or exciting. Strip is the way to go IMO. The Binions room was pretty empty, more just to look at and say you played there once than to spend any amount of time playing in.
circus circus is as rock bottom as you can get on the strip, shit location, shit hotel, shit everything. excalibur isnt terrible but you can do much better. i stayed there in december for the first time, not too many kids running around and we got to yell at the servers at dick's.
Yup yup. I really dont care about how full the poker rooms are. I jist want a seat and a bunch of dumbasses that I can win off of. Any one place the best for blackjack? Will take your every other day advice.
Downtown the 4q is fun for blackjack. Vegas Club is always cheap. Golden gate and Nugget are expensive. ElCo is fun, $5 single deck. If you like wheat beer check out the house wheat at Chicago Brewing Co inside of 4Q. Paradise Cafe at Fremont has good deals on steak and eggs or steak dinners at all hours. There is a Hash House a Go Go in Plaza, a must have, IMO.
staying at excalibur next weekend we stay there every year for our softball tourney if it's free it's me my rankings for hotels i've stayed at 1. caeser's (got a ballin suite there a couple years ago. top notch shit) 2. mandalay (they get bonus points cuz i love the foundation room) 3. palms (usually comped cuz i've had a few nice nights at the table there) 4. mirage 5. monte carlo
I like shithole gambling places, but Excalibur just seems trashy as hell. That and the casino smells horrible.
hard to argue with free. that's a good looking list. i havent stayed at palms, only gone to ghost bar, gamble, etc but the beef i have with it is that its off the strip. mirage is pretty classy, i like their sportsbook. mc is pretty nice for the price you pay. have fun!

The thing with carrying is that they look like tylenol in the scanner. If you check it there's a chance they open your shit. If they're prescribed to you, no prob, but I'm assuming no?
If they checked every pill bottle that went through a scanner they'd be there forever. You have a minimal chance they would check. The prescription/pill type.

11 guys for a bachelor party, might bring a few random girls if this would help. Just emailed each of the clubs individually. Don't know enough to know what a "good" table is. Only guys that have done it before went to the bank and the price they gave us was reasonable.I would appreciate any suggestions.
