I'm back after 5 nights. It's always a blast but this trip seemed like the longest one yet. Stayed at IP one night. Shithole of all shitholes. Flamingo GO room 3 nights with a view of the Bellagio fountains. One night at Mandalay Bay. Nice but nothing special. I never realized how big a pain in the ass it is to be down there. Made a little on their BJ tables, so that worked out. Did the usual strip/downtown casino hopping and left with about 70% of my bankroll, which I call a win.
Heading to vegas this weekend with 12 college buddies. What are some good sports books for Saturday day-drinking? Will be staying at the Venetian.
Planet Hollywood has a good book for watching. Lagasse Stadium is the Palazzo sports book and has great seating and good food.
Appreciate it. At Lagasse, what type of bets are necessary to get free drinks (or food?) while betting?
i really like caesars for betting/watching sports. shadow bar is right next to the sports book, so if you can find a seat in the book, you can go there. they have bucket of beer specials, if you get the miller lite, it comes in the 16 oz cans as opposed to the 12 oz bottles. /themoreyouknow.jpeg
do flight rates really drop much if you book Tuesday afternoon through Thursday for a trip about 6 weeks from now?
Im going to vegas on Thursday, staying out there until sunday. Never been before, no clue what to expect but im fuckin jacked. how much money do you think i could go out there with and have a good time but not get out of control. Im not a a baller by any stretch, but ive got some cash and im curious about what to expect as far as spending money.
First time I went Im pretty sure I had less than $500 and no credit card. Was there for 3 days. Luckily won $900 on video poker which allowed me to breath. Im flying into LV on Sunday and will have around $2k and a credit card (probably wont use it buy ua never know.
Looking at probably doing the Planet Hollywood 2 BR suite with an adjoining room. Tell me about PH. Good hotel/casino/pool/location?
Its a nice newer hotel stayed there last may for my bday, very good casino, Younger crowd, never went to the pool, perfect location as its in the middle of the strip right across from Ceasars and Bellagio
yep, ill echo this. suites look fantastic, great location, pretty good mall connected to it (miracle mile shops). id do that in a second.
Going in October for the first time. Anyone been in the fall? Crowded or dead? I'm kind of excited about going out and betting on football all day.
Pretty sure October in Vegas is prime-time for conventions. So whatever. You can bet on alot of football.
Nope. I sat in there for like five hours for UW vs. WSU and USC vs. UCLA and got free drinks all day. They never asked me for a ticket or anything.
Thats sweet. I head out there with some buddys on the 17th and we will be hitting up the Bellagio for sure
thanks to user NoleNBlue I booked my hotel for vegas and took a gamble on bookit.com mystery deluxe room and I think I got the Ceasars Palace Tower Deluxe(closest to the description they gave) Room for 450 with tax now going for 667 plus tax
List the places you've stayed in LV in order of badassness: 1. Cosmopolitan - I can't imagine hotel/casinos being any nicer than this place. 2. The Palms 3. Caesar's Palace 4. Hard Rock Hotel 5. Planet Hollywood 6. New York, New York 7. Luxor 8. Flamingo
Only been twice but when I go in May, I am staying at Cosmo so I am sure that will be #1... 1) Planet Hollywood 2) Hard Rock Both were pretty awesome but location gives PH the edge.
Just went to book the 2 Bedroom suite at Planet Hollywood and they aren't showing up online anymore. Those fuckers better not be fully sold out 4 and 1/2 months in advance.
that's what everyone is saying, probably won't be staying there on my next trip but will definitely check it out. Is it like how everyone would say about Hard Rock(at least a few years ago) where the lobby bars and clubs are just packed with talent at night? also anyone know the answer to my spoiler question above
Just about any hotel with a decent club inside it is going to be packed with talent in the evenings... Paris, Cosmo, Aria, Caesar's, etc. And if I knew the current promo codes, I would definitely hook you up. But I don't... :foreveralone: The Palms has a couple of clubs out on the top floor of its hotel... one called "Rain" and another called "Moon (iirc)". You can literally stand outside about 40-50 stories up and look out to the entire strip while you drink/dance/mingle.
Agreed on location. Liked HRH better but PH has much better locale w/regards to the other hotels/casinos. Cosmopolitan has a bar that is entirely surrounded by chandelier-style crystal. It's insane.
yeah I went to Rain on my last trip there and that 1 rooftop bar on top of Rio for about 40 minutes which was more low key but a great view
Outside of the Palms being off the strip, how is it for a hotel/casino/pool??? Looking at options for rooms now that the Planet Hollywood 2Br suite isn't an option. They're having a sale right now where I can get 3 queen rooms for 3 nights for less than $1,000 total. Not a bad deal.
The Palms is awesome, Stuhly. The hotel and pool area is among the nicest in all of LV, and the slot machines are probably looser than anything not found on Fremont Street. It was the first place I ever stayed in Las Vegas and my friends and I could have just stayed there and had an amazing trip. Here's the Moon Nightclub Bar... The Pool... Typical bathroom in the hotel rooms... Casino areas...
Question for you fellas, I'm heading out there tmrw and plan on taking some adderal and Xanax. Just gonna put it in my allergy medicine bottle. Think I have anything to worry about as far as the airport and shit?
1. Flamingo - Had a nice GO room, so that helps a lot. Heard the other rooms are shit 2. Mandalay Bay - Lower rating based on location and vast emptiness feel of the casino. Room was about even with GO room. 3. Harrahs - Nice room, casino was decent but bland. 4. El Cortez - Fun to gamble there and a good place to stay for cheap, but as far as the hotel goes it was below anything I've had on the strip except - | | | 5. Imperial Palace -shitty room, shitty casino, shitty view, shitty food (except HHAGG) and the people there are cock smokes from my experience. Try to run it like it's caesars when it's shit tier.
I wasn't digging the Palms at all. Seemed pretty dead even at night, plus the table were way expensive. Hard Rock was the same way.
that's one of the images that came up in the google image search. did think it looked really similar to Caesar's.
Yeah, and when cosmo opened it and PH took over as the hotspots for the rich party kids. I wouldn't stay at either because of the proximity of the strip. I like to roam. But the hotels are very nice.
User racer, I guarantee you ten times out of ten that Nicky, Vinny and Tony will beat the shit out of Todd, Kyle and Tucker...
