He won't play past 28 at this rate. Sad. A pretty full midfield and we still have to grind down this young kid.
I hope this good start to the season for young Lamine Yamal means we'll be able to grind him down to dustwith about 100 games a calendar year like we've done with Pedri.
two completely useless fullbacks and nothing to offer on the counter should be another comfortable half for the yellow submarine
watching the moron twins at fullback today makes the screwing around with fresneda even more annoying doubly so when they bring in joao felix in a few days
Cancello will be nice. I don’t think Felix is going to happen, everything I’ve read is that Xavi and Deco don’t want him. I think Alonso might be shipped out as well which would be great. Wouldn’t be surprised to hear Fresneda come up again in a couple of years provided he’s good at Sporting.
At this point I don't know if I think Cancelo is going to happen either. It's been "going to be announced tomorrow" for like 3 weeks now. Will be very good if it actually happens, but I'm pessimistic that it does
Well we’ve got a right back, thank Christ. I will always love Sergi for that goal against PSG but not seeing him trotted out on the right flank will be great. Felix needs a revival, and if he’s going to do it I don’t know that there is a better situation out there for him, given plenty of available minutes and flanking Lewa. Our mf should be rock solid and we’ve got a bit of depth top to bottom. Feels like CL quarters/semis isn’t out of question with potentially more.
this nonsense where christiansen, frenkie, kounde, and romeu all take turns standing over the ball playing horizontal passes while nobody moves aint gonna cut it
cant keep throwing away large chunks of games with this 4 midfielder stuff especially when offensive creativity isnt a strong suit with 3 of them
Mainly that he should be still coaching here. I’m hazy on the details of his departure so maybe I’m missing something
Yep. Took a year off to decompress. Barcelona was perfectly positioned to continue the tragectory started by Pep, until Tito tragically ribs from cancer.
hes had his moments, but like all of the issues with the attack it boils down to this 4 midfielder nonsense - getting an outside presence on the left will give him more of the space that will enhance his game theres also more than enough games and substitutions available now that it shouldnt be difficult to pick 3 midfielders at a time and still get them minutes and opportunities balde was also fucking gassed the entire second half because hes stuck having to man the entire left side on both ends of the pitch almost by himself
Getting production from both him but also out of Lewa by virtue of his play style looks to be a massive benefit.
almost like playing a mf at mf and having an additional attacking option to provide movement and creativity has allowed for a better structure on the pitch
You're all welcome that I had to stop watching to take my son homecoming suit shopping. I said fuck it and we left the house in like the 74th minute, checked my espn app while he was trying on a suit and was pleasantly surprised.
Frenkie out for a month sucks. Apparently he's only missed a total of 16 games in his Barca career, but we've only won 6 of those 16.
not sure what their schedule is like but with the int'l break coming up its not the worst time to have to miss
yeah the whites are nice, still need a little color on the collar so it doesnt look quite a chunky but overall very nice liked the scoreline more tho
if they weren't gonna get it on their own, an own goal winner from captain fuckhead is a nice consolation prize
deciding to go back to this defensive nonsense and then trotting out sergi roberto and marcos alonso is some all time nincompoopery
