Redoing the effects ain’t gonna fix the dialogue and acting. They should have known not to hype that announcement.
Doesn't seem like they really did hype it. A "Hello There" on Empire Magazine Twitter doesn't really seem like a lot of hype
My wife surprised me with this today. Apparently it was originally supposed to be the duel from RotS on Mustafar but the cake maker was sent the wrong figures and rushed to the store to get replacements to do a more generic Star Wars theme and now I have a bunch of mini Funko figurines and I love it.
I watch basically all new SW content, but I would not watch/have zero interest in a Mace Windu project.
I believe the first 3 episodes of Bad Batch s3 are out today. Hoping they finish strong and aim higher than they did in s2 when they just told a bunch of dumb kid stories around Omega.
I generally find the episodes that advance the story to be good and the standalone ones that are just some weekly adventure to usually suck. So I liked these.
I went back and looked last night and based on my D+ account I never watched the last four episodes. watched the S2 finale last night and then just started S3. hopefully nothing major missed in that 3 episode gap. I doubt it.
I mean, if you like Clone Wars content then you should probably finish this series. This is probably the last (directly related) CW content we're going to get. It's also probably going to tie into the Sequel trilogy with all this cloning focus
It's like the whole point of the animated series' are to fill in the gaps and provide a reasonable explanation for all the stupid shit that happens in the non-OT movies.
Family Guy pointed this out in Something Something Dark Side in 2010. In Lando’s defense, he left his home on no notice; guys gotta wear what’s available in the ship.
While it's easy to roll my eyes at Family Guy now, their parody content, especially for Star Wars, is still great.
The star wars episodes remain fantastic. Side note. I watched the it's a trap (RoTJ) episode for the first time on the night Pres Obama announed we had killed Bin Laden. That episode has a quick one second joke where Bin Laden pops out of the sand in Tattoine, waves to the camera and says "still alive". I laughed for a good 5+ minutes at the random timing of that.
I thought the first one was awesome, the second really good, and the third one was terrible. Like I was watching Seth McFarland go from something being one of the most important things he's ever attempted (first one) to being so over it he couldn't be bothered to check the script his 17 year old interns wrote before sending it to animation (the last one).
I maintain it was a trial balloon to slide Lando into the Han role should Ford not agree to come back for movie 3.
The third one was kind of the worst parts of Family Guy coming into it in terms of long bits that weren't funny and just trying too hard. I thought it also sharply turned from paying homage with some jokes about the material to just straight up mocking it. The scroll at the start of the It's a Trap episode was McFarland pretty much saying "I had to beg to make the first one, and when it aired they loved it and begged for more. By the time I was done with the second they told me I couldn't do my movie (Ted) until I did this so the staff wrote it and that's why it sucks".
I think out of all of it, the jingle for it is the best part. “CERVEZA CRISTAL (background singers echo)”
