Didn't he do Rogue One? That was awesome. Agree to please use the same recipe for Andor as Season 1. Best Star Wars thing ever.
Pretty sure he can't really have anything to do with Andor at this point. The 2nd/final season is already written and I think in production.
they were supposed to be finished filming this summer, but I don't know if they actually did or if things were affected by the strike.
Filoni isn't even the main show runner or writer for Mando or Boba. He's written 5 episodes of 4 combined seasons of those shows. I get that some people might get annoyed by how much praise he gets for stuff, but if someone doesn't like those shows, I'm not sure why he'd be the guy in your cross hairs.
that's fair but I think he is a bit more involved than what you're saying he definitely was in the making of s1 with favs and seemed to have a decent amount of input
He's definitely very involved in Mando, but Favreau is the head guy there. And he's the show runner for Ahsoka, I think. I don't know how involved he was in Boba Fett other than writing one of the two episodes that were actually interesting.
Filoni’s strength is also his weakness. Sometimes stories shouldn’t be driven solely by the question of “wouldn’t it be sick if ___?” And that really seems to be an increasingly self-referential question and answer process.
Just about everyone that doesn't have rose-tinted glasses welded to their eyeballs will admit the prequels could have been great if Lucas had just handed his big-picture story ideas to competent writers and directors. Filoni is basically the guy with big-picture story ideas handing things off to (hopefully competent) writers and directors. Also Kennedy is basically donezo in all but title, so I'm happy twice-over.
Honestly at this point in my life I’m completely fine with fan service and wouldn’t it be sick if moments. That said Andor is the best SW thing in forever. I just think that’s lightning in a bottle.
I wonder if they got done filming S2 recently or something because the TL was flooded with those kind of vids starting yesterday. Sabine, Shin, and Ezra actors all putting out content all suspiciously filmed in the same few areas.
Or it was just promo day and they were all called in for work. But I just want to believe S2 is a step closer.
Would be kind of shocking to me if they've even started shooting s2 yet. Shocking in a very good way, mind you. But I think that's really optimistic.
Also, fuck all the haterz, I like Book of Boba Fett and Mando. Just watched live action Cad Bane gun down the sheriff of Mos Pelgo and it's still awesome.
Book of boba would have been a lot better without the rainbow gang and Boba breaking good. Boba as a ruthless but fair leader of tattooine> what we got. that said, I still enjoyed it
Can you expand on this? I see people in here say it but no one seems to articulate why they don't like the Modders
So I'm watching ANH, they've just broken into the prison block... why are there 12+ cameras they have to shoot out for just the one central hub lol, which trooper got caught watching illicit materials while on the clock at the prison block reception desk?
Am I the only one who will always hate Disney for not giving us this version of Grievous? Tactical Genius while also being insanely terrifying himself Instead he was just a bumbling coward always being bested by Jedi
“Big Star Wars fan” but he paints eye black on his cheek instead of growing a pair of Ahsoka’s Lekku like a real fan would.
Some incredible person or persons did a fan-made edition of the end of Revenge of the Sithin Clone Wars animation. It's fucking awesome
I saved it, then forgot to watch it. I want to watch. Which means I'll probably forget about it until I open my YT app again.
I started watching it while taking a dump but paused it about five minutes in to wipe, then spent the day in Amiens It moved me
Even though i pretty much share the thoughts expressed - people like that are why i rarely go to the theaters.
My reaction to watching it was 1) I think I have whiplash, things happened so god damn fast. And 2) do I like it? I’d like to like it but I am not at all feeling like I liked it. How disappointing. Not anger though.
Not to rehash everything but the moment the revealed chewy wasnt dead 3 seconds after it seemed like he was - I knew it was going to be a let down
to rehash everything, the fact that the movie was going to be a disaster was evident from the opening “lightspeed skipping” scene
Or the first five mins where Abrams basically voided everything that happened in the Last Jedi because he is a child so the movie was going to have no continuity with the rest of the series
not to start another TLJ debate, but I find it strange to act like this was the first time we lost continuity. the continuity was long gone already.
This article confirms Filoni still gets a movie AND he's beginning development on Ahsoka season 2, btw.
