I would think Mother Hubbard's would have all the games too, but any of the big River North sports bars would have all the games. There are enough transplants everywhere that they don't just stick to Bears only.
You can Google what team you want to watch and Chicago bars there is a bar for every NFL team seemingly
Did it close recently? I havent been there in forever, but also drive by it somewhat frequently. Didnt notice it's gone lol
I am going on a business trip & to the Bears/Broncos game in about a week and am looking for recommendations for areas for my team to stay. I stayed at the Sofitel hotel by Washington Park on the North side last year and it felt a little removed from things happening. Should I look at the Chicago Loop area?
I mean probably, it's not anyone's favorite neighborhood but it's the middle of the city. It's just like any other CBD
that varies, but the more central you get the more corporate, sterile, and touristy you get but you're a corporate tourist so that should be fine for what you're looking for
River North. Close to the loop but doesn't close on the weekend and at 5 PM like the Loop does. Moxy has good ambiance and lots to eat and drink within a few blocks. Link
I feel like everyone Ive met from U of C actually is pretty smart. Except for the one that was dumb enough to date me.

Kids these days don't know what they are missing. Drinking pitchers out of moldy tap lines and sitting on 10 year old Home Depot patio furniture that was probably left behind from various apartment moves in the neighborhood is living the good life as a 25 year old
I truly loved my time on Southport. Lived in a carriage house on Fletcher right behind Schubas. It's such bummer that Southport is almost indistinguishable from a street in a Naperville now.
Lived 3 blocks from Justins from 2010 to 2020. I can say I enjoyed both versions. When I moved in, I was in my 20s, and enjoyed having beers by the big tree on that was in the middle of the beer garden and back bar. My friends and I used to do bar crawls starting at Southport and Belmont and zig zagging up to Irving Park. Before I moved out, I was married with a kid and was more part of the "stroller Southport" gang. Almost all the bars were gone but replaced by various family friendly restaurants and became a great neighborhood for young families.
The neighborhood really did mature at the same stages as that of a 40-45 year old who had kids in their 30s.
Went to the new Guinness brewery last night. I'm not a big Guinness fan but they did have a decent tap list and the venue overall is pretty cool. I was surprised how busy they were at 4pm on a Thursday. Probably the busiest happy hour spot in the west loop yesterday.
Yeah. Not sure when you were there last but most of the paintings are anti trump. I really enjoyed the dark seedy low light with a red glow and jazz music. $9 draft beer is a bit much but it is definitely an interesting scene.
it was definitely pre-covid, and maybe even pre trump. I have some pretty hilarious photos from there. We use to go all the time. Let me see if I can dig them up.
It seems like it's getting harder to find a good cheap dive bar Spoiler I also have lost all touch about cool spots to go so that's probably my own fault
And a bonus - I took a photo of a guy taking a shit on a toilet w no door. Because I was a drunk asshole In retrospect - that dude is awesome.
Tell me you’ve never been to a street festival without telling me you’ve never been to a street festival.
I was there for an event and then stayed for the concert after. I still don't understand what is going on with that place
I left my parents house July after graduating college, drove down to Chicago, unloaded my bags, and this was the first bar I went to.
Asked a cohort at Lettuce Entertain You and they said stick with the classics (whole loaf garlic bread, pappardelle, chicken parmesan).
Yeah, you have always been helpful in the Nashville threads. They also mentioned the pisco negronis are worthwhile.
I can't believe how expensive concert tickets have gotten. I was excited for the Salt Shed to open but their prices are outrageous.
They're all out towards Aurora right now chasing that storm that dropped tornadoes in Hinckley. I just meant greater Chicago area though
