Best guess for when the next season will be out? 2 years from now?

 

They started filming a couple of weeks ago. I'd say year and a half at the earliest.

 

they bought it in 2017 , they are moving at a glacial pace.

 

Last I saw was early 2024

 

Unfortunately that's kind of modern tv. Seems common place for two years between seasons now.

 

If we get a depiction of the War of Last Alliance I will be happy.

 

So did everyone else give up on this too? Watched 2 episodes coming back to it and struggling to get thru episode 5. It’s a slog.

 

It's not great but it has it's moments. It gets slightly better.

Oh. Just saw the lack of posts. I like Durin. Don’t really care for Galadriel at this point and saw that Benjen has been recast. Liked his character

 

I enjoyed it because...Tolkien.

 

I think it’s pretty good if you can treat it as in the Tolkien universe but not a book adaptation

I’m fired up for the next season. Need to rewatch season 1.

 

I'm pretty indifferent. I'll give the next season a shot but if it's not better than this season I'll be checking out quickly.

 

I'll watch next season no matter how bad it gets out of respect for the source material.
