Just got the platinum by beating Gna. Headed back to Jotunheim, chatted with Angrboda, stood next to Fenrir. Saved. Closed. 9.5/10 Great game
Ok, I’m almost to the end of the story…but if somebody doesn’t put on this mask and become THE MASK….I’m gonna be pissed. Like I want Kratos to say SMOKIN!!! so badly
Kids got a PS5 for Christmas. I have never played the God of War series. I am excited. Starting with God of War (2018) then will do Ragnorak.
Haven't gotten the chance to dive all the way into this yet, only just past thr part where I beat a bears ass and it ends up being my kid. How long til I get truly sucked in?
You should probably go back and play the last one or you’re going to have trouble following along. imo
Finally bought this and am 4 hours in. I'm in awe of how awesome this game is and this is coming from someone who thought the PS4 GOW was the best game last generation. Completely exceeding expectations so far as far as story and setting goes. Gameplay is nothing new (at least so far) but it doesn't need to be. Can't wait to finish.
Finally beat it. The middle was a bit slow and repetitive, but holy shit that ending was something. Amazing story that almost had me in tears at the end just like the first one and gameplay/combat was flawless. 10/10.
I was indifferent on the change to Atreus, but I will say that he kind of felt a little OP compared to playing with Kratos. Like he was almost definitely too strong.
I have the entire rest of the week to myself. So I never got my PS4 game data to transfer to my PS5 so I said fuck it and just started playing it from the start. Heading in the canoe now
I haven't played a GOW since the very first one, I think. About halfway through Ragnarok and I’ve picked up on enough of the story(though I was confused how we got to a completely different set of gods) that I’m not totally lost. I’ll definitely go back and play the previous one before the DLC lands.
I probably would have if I’d thought about it…but I got enough of the story from the new one, it’s not worth the time to me at this point. New Spidey comes out in less than 2 weeks and I’ll just move onto that.
Just played 2018 and Ragnarok back-to-back. Amazing games. Now I’m trying to play Witcher 3 and it’s just not hitting the same.
Actually had this thought when my PS dashboard loaded the other day and I saw TW3. The fighting in that game has always been the worst part(and that’s obviously nitpicking) but it would definitely pale in comparison to GOW
Was hoping for a spinoff dlc kind of like Miles Morales but this is cool too. Especially since it's free.
Anyone else really played the Valhalla DLC? I just toyed with it for an hour or two and I’m enjoying it so far. It does add to the story a little bit. Some nostalgia mixed in. It’s cool.
Yeah I finished and then did a few more runs to get some more of the dialogue. It's a fun mode and adds a nice little epilogue to the story.
