Been a shitty 12 days for Oscar. Had a small tumor removed from his eyelid & had the vet clean his teeth while under... ended up needing 5 teeth pulled. Took him about 10 days to fully recover & get back to himself. He hates his cone
Thought this was kinda share worthy. An app my roommate is in the process of making for golden retriever lovers.
still trying to find myself a pug, have applied for 4 or 5 from the local rescue groups with no luck. Any pug that is even close to young doesn't last more than a day or two. Don't want to go to a breeder if i can help it, but it may happen in a year or so if i can't get rescue to work out. Save the anti-breeder rants, it would be a last resort
How pissed should I be when I'm at a dog park putting my dog on the leash to leave and another dog just runs up and bites her in the neck?
I've gotten to where I don't even really go to the dog park anymore. They do daycare and I take them on walks, but too many idiots/assholes frequent dog parks.
Not a big deal really, i just always prefer to rescue if possible, as are most in this thread. But that isn't a realistic proposition for certain breeds, so I don't have an issue going the breeder route after exhausting the rescue possibilities.
Many dog trainers have come out and said the footage was edited to look bad by whoever sold it to TMZ or by TMZ itself
Also it's fucking PETA pushing for a boycott so fuck that shit and fuck any animal advocacy group who euthanizes like 90% of all the animals that they receive They are nothing but a look at me organization
These days there are almost no major movies that involve animals that don't have a shit ton of regulation and SPCA officials on site to make sure everything is well. Dogs and water can be a tricky situation. But believe what you or anyone else in this thread want to believe. At the end of the day, the damage has been done and your $10-15 is not gonna make or break the situation.
TMZ started it and PETA just piggybacked it like they do most if not all of the time. Two scum of the earth organizations
This is Winston, owner is old and couldn't take care of him. Now he roams the pool area and 6 acres like a lion. 225lb bull mastiff
Dump you should look into fostering greyhounds. They keep asking me but I just don't have the time right now. Plus I know as soon as me and Nymeria got used to another hound in the house and they were all "he's ready to be adopted out". I'd be all "fuck that, he's staying here".
My dog does the same thing when I try to put her in a pool. And then I do it and she immediately swims to the steps and tries to get out. The problem with the video was the for some reason the dog went underwater when it was swimming just fine. It's not like he was fucking beating and kicking the dog. Nothing I saw in the video really is anything that I've never seen a dog do when trying to get acclimated to water.
GSDs can be scaredy dogs, too. Kaiser won't go into the backyard to go to the bathroom if one of our floodlights goes out. Dude loves a bath, though.
Shit does everyone get your dog's teeth cleaned? I never have and am now concerned. Tried brushing them before but he wasn't having it.
They do it when they get baths, but just a cursory cleaning. Anytime one goes under it's a good plan to get a full cleaning done.
I would never even consider taking my heeler mix to the dog park anyway, but this. I stopped taking my hyperactive light-speed Jack Russell to the dog park after having him repeatedly be attacked by frustrated dogs that couldn't keep up with him fetching the ball. I can't even imagine how crazy a whole shitload of dogs running all willy-nilly everywhere would make my cattledog.
