Somebody mentioned Lucky Noodles on Colfax a while back for Thai. Finally tried. Incredible

 

I never got to go before I moved but I've always heard Daughter Thai Kitchen & Bar is amazing too

drove out to Littleton for work today and snagged a brisket sandwich at a place called Smoking Outlaws Kitchen. Good stuff.

There’s spots downtown with an almost an inch and then a couple blocks away it’s a dusting

 

Arvada it was dusting then dropped an inch in like 30 minutes. Now it's done and the sun is starting to poke through.

Just moved into my house. Movers were supposed to be here today. Informed them it might be raining/snowing on Tuesday and it would be to their advantage to get here Monday. Luckily they got it all done yesterday so I didn't have to deal with muddy shoes all in my house.

pros of Arvada: old town; quick access to 70s and the mountains; access to Wheat Ridge and all their delicious places to eat + wheat ridge lanes;

 

need a single dinner rec for Downtown. Gonna do Hop Alley again I think, A5 Steakhouse cause I have an old friend who is a chef there and need one more place

 

There's a lot of really good places.

The soup dumplings at Cholon are one of best things I've ever eaten.

 

If you got a dog, the dog park in Westminster is perfect for off leash. The water in the stream that runs through is highly questionable though.

 

I also like the two Berkeley parks off I-70 for dog walks

 

I've heard good things about Nana’s Dim Sum & Dumplings in LoHi. Around downtown, Potager, Plimoth, Point Easy, sắp sửa, and Molotov Kitschen + Cocktails. But if talking downtown downtown, La Diabla Pozole y Mezcal, Rioja or Cholon

 

Went there a ton. My dog loved that stream, especially in the summer.

 

Also gonna have a rental car downtown for few hours with my shit in it. Safer to pay the extra for a hotel valet or it doesnt matter and I should just use a regular parking garage?

 

you'll be fine in a regular garage for a few hours. I'd just park smart.

Thanks for the recommendations. One of my best friends has lived in the same neighborhood for 5 years so he's been showing us around. Will need restaurant recommendations.

My wife has started at her derm practice. Sold my 2 wheel drive car and got a AWD SUV. Kids are in school and started ski lessons up at El Dora just need to get this fucking house unpacked, get snow tires and I'm ready to rock.

 

I'll trade storage for an Isbell ticket at Mission if you want it. My Air Bnb is Lawrence and 25th so would be pretty easy to drop it off

 

Went there before a Pearl Jam concert a couple of years ago. It's fucking incredible. Those dumpings are fantastic.

March 1 is a pretty perfect time to move to denver. can still ski for 45 days. weather is turning. Rockies opening day is a month away. hiking season is 3 months away. enjoy everything denver has to offer before next winter rolls around.
