    MWIII campaign is really bad.

I’d say 2/3 of the missions so far (I’m 2/3 of the way through) are “open map” with a very convoluted mission design. Really really bad for what COD is supposed to be. Lazy too.

Every review I’ve seen has given it bad scores and there really is no story they are saying.

I had fun on a lot of the middle missions. the one with farah at the docks was bad. opening prison break was good cinematics but not many actual enemies I didn't feel like.
Lady infiltrating the building for the meetup was meh. Liked the Amsterdam one from MW2. They need more jason bourne type missions IMO

story is the same as always.

    poison gas and missiles.

I did think the stadium verdansk mission was good but needed to be longer and give us more dansk

I know the popular talk point is that this is just a fancy DLC for MWIII, but I am a bit disappointed in the campaign. They've really gone backwards since MW19. Warzone took a lot of their resources due to its popularity; I'm curious if they keep reverting the changes they implemented with MWII. They kind of... made it up as they went along.

I remember in the MWII beta we had bunny hopping but then it was gone when MP came out. Then in MWIII beta the slide canceling had a built in delay, which they tried to smooth out due to public backlash. Curious what the end result ends up being.

I think you mean profitability lol.

In the end that’s all that matters to Activision and it shows all over the campaign.

Same reason they switch the meta guns every season, so they can sell more in the store.

I only play the campaign and WZ so idk about meta weapons in multiplayer. In the original WZ/MW2019 they didn't have the meta gun problem (not in terms of % of people using them IDGAF how many sheeple build loadouts based purely on streamers telling them to, just talking gun competitiveness) wasn't a thing until they integrated Black Ops. Then there was a new broken meta gun every season.

So far I haven't seen than in WZ2 at all. I'm still rocking the M13B and the RPK, Hemlock and several other Day 1 guns are still widely used. Lachman Sub is the #1 SMG since day 1.

I think they've got the game in a good place right now as far as movement speed, ttk, gun balancing, etc. It took them almost 9 months to get rid of all the terrible changes they tried to implement to a system that wasn't broken and didn't need fixing. Hopefully if they try to apply any changes for MW3 it'll stay in multiplayer/zombies and they leave WZ2 alone. WZ2 Ranked is my favorite FPS mode in any game right now

I have no clue how it plays, but it looks more like an expansion than new game. Recycle old maps, UI the exact same as MW2. Different guns, different feel?

Accurate. You don't need MW3 unless you really like multiplayer or want to play the new zombie dmz mode.
Nothing fundamentally changed about the gameplay because they'd have to completely rework Warzone 2.0 if they did that.

Zombie DMZ has great bones but is gonna get a lot of complaints from classic zombie mode fans. It’s still got the countdown timer for final exfils like normal DMZ, although it didn’t seem like the spreading radiation zone was actually killing me (could have been a perk or something idk) just making my screen flinch.

they need a permanent Exfil spot in the dead center of Tier 3 territory that never goes away for the diehard zombie people. When you wanna squad up and say we’re going as far as we can go. They don’t give you that option. Basically force your game to be over at 60min or you lose everything, which doesn’t give you a lot of time to even run the endgame loop bc of how long it takes to get Tier 3 pack punch and perks.

you can go in with the materials necessary to basically have endgame stuff nearly right away but you do that and get to play an hour and then it’s game over it makes you ask why you used all those hoarded upgrades to begin with.

like how it’s setup in all other aspects. Much more fun than the normal DMZ. Missions rollover to the next in the list if you complete one in-game which is a great change. Difficulty feels right (except the mercs are a little too OP in Tier 2).

if they fix the “endgame” and let you test your manhood with a permanent final Exfil location it’ll be a really great game mode. Right now it’s just a more fun way to unlock and level up new guns without having to subject myself to multiplayer grinding

If they kept improving and creating new content for DMZ I would buy MWIII. Seems they’re gonna let it die. The thrill of doing some missions, getting some loot, and possibly running into some players and trying to get out alive was awesome. Every time you infilled was a new experience.

idk man Zombie DMZ has been a lot more fun than the original for me and my crew.

The missions in the first 3-4 months of the original DMZ were retarded and had you looking around for 10 car batteries and shit for 30 minutes only to potentially get wiped by exfil campers. And the AI was brutal. I think the DMZ was just a testing mode for MWZ. Teaming up with another squad for a 6-man supersquad in MWZ is more fun than I ever had in the DMZ

Got all the camos unlocked before WZ drops. I don’t give a shit about multiplayer anymore but grinding camos in zombies and multi was fun

Reading some stuff about WZ is interesting. 100 players, faster zones, shorter game overall (20 mins). Personally, it's a bit disappointing as it seems they're focusing on regains rather than a massive player count initially. Just seems like they're blending the big map with Resurgence. On the plus side Rebirth Island and Fortunes Keep are coming back, and new movement is refreshing.

You gotta add more ways to get teammates back in the game or the miserable ass COD players will quit right after they lose their gulag... sometimes before, which is baffling. I tried playing big map with randoms for like 2-3 months when the WZ2 first came out and gave up on the game altogether for months because it was such a pitiful experience. If they weren't going to double the amount of buy stations on the map, they had to do something else or the game would basically become PUBG.

Next thing they need to do, presumably after they incorporate the MWZ map into WZ2 is do a map rotation on the big map. I know they've still got Verdansk available and redone, because you play several areas of it in the MW3 campaign.

3 map rotation that rotates every 24 hours - steal Apex's model there because it works. Use it in ranked play and WZ will be back to the Battle Royal out there. Rest of the game is in great shape as far as weapons, movement, etc. Just need some variety on the map. And for fucks sake fix the opening circle to never, ever, ever, be > 50% in water or out of play. And don't show the initial circle until ~30 seconds into the game.

I haven’t played WZ in forever, but it seems every time I tried to join a game, I would immediately be at a disadvantage bc somebody would quit the team before the game even started.

    The COD community kinda sucks.

Ranked mode takes care of that a little bc you get a time out penalty for quitting I believe. Resurgence shouldn’t have that problem either.

basically just don’t play normal non-ranked BR unless you have a premade squad

You don’t have friends who play? I can’t imagine playing CoD or WZ solo.

They did make a pretty good system where you can search for a party and as party leader when randoms jump in without a mic or if they’re obnoxious you can kick them and their spot gets replaced with a new random within a couple seconds. I’ve played with some really good squads that way.

Randoms experience is not great, in my sweaty time in Verdansk/beginning of Caldera I just did solo squads, I'm happy they did some QoL changes like scaling load out pricing to number of players in squads. Resurgence timer being reduced as well depending on squad size is a great choice they brought in WZ2. Kinda looking forward to Fortunes Keep.
