You can absolutely skip, DS2 but DS3 is so much better if you’ve played DS

 

definitely plan on finishing Bloodborne and the DLC and playing at least one more From game while I’m chilling and saving money for my move to Chicago this summer so I’ll take any suggestions

 

They all stand alone. DS may feel a bit clunky compared to what you’ve played (I see everything from Bloodborne on as dodge twords games while before they were dodge away). Sekiro is gonna require more patience than you are used to but it’s an all time great. DS3 is a fantastic game but it’s also a wonderful love letter to the souls series.

only boss that’s taken me more than 2 attempts so far is Logarius

idk what it is but so far this game feels easier than ER

 

They’re all easier than the first one. Ludwig, Maria and the Orphan are definitely more of a challenge than anything in ER tho and cursed amygdala is the hardest boss I’ve ever faced

I think I’d have been slightly disappointed in Elden Ring had I played Bloodborne first

Farum Azula is just the nightmare frontier
Volcano Major is just Cainhurst
Roundtable Hold is just the Hunter’s Dream
Invaders are just hunters
There’s tombstone sticking out of the ground everywhere
Even some of the small non boss enemies are the same just a bit tweaked
