it’s trash and the only thing I’ll miss are tortilla chips I’ve noticed some texans have a one item checklist on whether or not something is good: Is it Texan? That’s it that’s the list
I will fight you for real The real reason is their disaster response goes above and beyond most government agencies and the shit they market about being first into disaster zones isn’t….complete bullshit.
If you've got a problem with HEB you've got a problem with me. And I suggest you let that one marinate.
You've never been to an HEB have you? I will not continue this conversation with the fucking whole hog guy. You are a well established idiot and try to be a troll but you're too stupid
fair and thanks for answering The whole regional grocery store/fast food allegiance think people do on here is crazy goofy to me so I troll about a bit I will say wegmans is typically always clean and has solid take away food which is why I think it’s the best of regional grocery stores. I will shut up now
HEB always has a great selection of fruit and specialty meat (brisket burgers are phenomenal), fantastic fresh house made tortillas/chips/guac, grab-n-go meals that i use for lunch a lot, huge wine selection depending on location, cheap gas, they seem to pay their employees well. i have not been to Wegman's but HEB has been the best regional grocery store i've ever been to and i will miss it when i leave. some stores are wildly better than others though
I like HEB for the small things. They team up with local restaurants and make to go meals. That’s handy when in a hurry and I want to try a place I’ve never had. Their beer and wine sections are pretty good for a grocery store. I can find random IPAs I’ve never had etc. Kind of sappy but their flower section has always been good for a quick grab for the wife. She’s always happy.
This 100%. We live in Circle C and the ones on Slaughter and off 1826 are very good and the new Nutty Brown location is exceptional. The one on William Cannon, not so much
for the last two years yes, I lived right by Mama Dearest so I could walk there but I used to live by the Mueller one which was meh I’ll never slander Central Market or the family that owns and operates HEB but the regular HEB stores are just plain ass grocery stores and I never got the hype
So when I lived in Houston, I thought the same thing, then living in Miami for a year it was like OH MY GOD I MISS HEB WHY IS THERE A DJ BOOTH IN THIS PUBLIX AND WOMEN ARE WEARING THONG BATHING SUITS (nice), and then when I moved back to ATX I just hugged the side of the building for a bit. I think what I like about HEB is the consistency and variety. It's always clean, bright, lots of aisle space and tons of stock. I enjoy the little things like the house made ranch or tortilla chips in the produce section, the meals to go/bbq. The newer ones with more restaurants are great. The lake austin HEB is perfect imo sans the Mad Max: Karen Road, first floor parking. That being said when I travel for work in Louisiana, Rouses is also awesome and it even feels like Kroger has stepped up their game.
saying build the wall to a Latino because he doesn’t like your favorite grocery store and they say I’m the bad guy Don’t worry I’m leaving Texas soon pal
There is a reason typing :irush: used to enable an emoji of an angry guy in a sombrero. A lot of people on here used to bully the shit out of me for it and it’s why I don’t take anything on here seriously except the threads on the pentagon board. but yeah I’m Puerto Rican and a mix of Portuguese and Irish on the other side

been on this board for a decade and seen your name hundreds if not more times. I assumed you were cauc. ND fan.
Mom’s family is from Puerto Rico which isn’t really a race according to 23 and me they’re a mix of Spanish, Andorran, indigenous, Senegalese and Malian. My dad is a mostly Irish part Portuguese irish catholic from Hell’s Kitchen who raised me as an ND can despite him not going to college. idk what I am but it’s not Caucasian
I’m moving to Louisiana and was impressed with Rouse’s, but it’s apparently pretty expensive compared to like Winn Dixie there
