I’m fine with the length and price. I need to beat Vahalla. The mythology era games are ridiculous in length.
they've got two other games in development with a "new design philosophy". This game is just a smaller game to hold people over while they work on the other two. Set themselves up for this with the yearly cycle, but if they're really kinda redoing how they do these games they were going to have to take more time.
I am ok with paying this price just for the simple fact they have realized the Valhalla/Odyssey formula really isn’t working
Origins was damn near perfect to me. Odyssey didn't grab me at all. I played Valhalla for a bit but it was just all samey after a while I hope this game set in Japan follows the Origins formula a bit more.
I'm glad they're getting back to their roots but I'm also struggling to get terribly excited about what basically seems like a next gen reimagining of the early games. I played the, I loved them...give me something new.
I wonder if this includes all of the side quest activities (if there any). If it’s only 15ish hours in total, even $50 is too much.
Just a PSA if it hasn’t been mentioned, instead of paying 50 busks for the game, the deluxe edition is included on Xbox with Ubisoft+ for like 18 bucks and you can just cancel after the first month.
Reliable insider saying Red will have gore and decapitations, as well as a buildable “hideout” with customizable interiors and a stealth system inspired by old splinter cell games. Ability to extinguish torches at night was cited as an example.
And it quickly became bloated and stale imo I hope Red is a deeper, slightly bigger version of what Mirage was and not in the same vein as Valhalla or Odyssey
Origins was great. My favorite of the series. Ever since then I've struggled to get into them. The quality just isn't there.
Loved Origins and Odyssey, but damn Odyssey was a grind to get through. Will probably start back on Valhalla this summer.
I hope it's great. It sounds promising but I'm very cautious when it comes to Ubisoft. Can't even remember the last game they put out that I really liked.
