I started playing Valhalla recently. Bounced off Odyssey when I played it before and missed all that story stuff with the staff and whatever it does. They need recap primers for this shit at this point.
Origins is my personal favorite. 2 was a good one too though. I really thought 3 was going to be amazing but damn was it disappointing.
The Ezio Trilogy stands apart from everything else. Brotherhood was perfection and Revelations did a really good job of tying Ezio and Altair together, with a nice send off for both. Then there’s a group of others that all were great in their own way: AC1 - kicked everything off and was still amazing for its time. Black Flag - complete shift in term of style and story. Just a blast to play and explore, and the story was really great. Origins - complete re-imagining and phenomenal story. Shocked even today they never did a sequel with Bayek. Valhalla is an honorable mention as I greatly enjoyed the setting, gameplay and overall story. The rest range from boring, disappointing, flawed or downright bad. Unity was pretty awful and AC 3 was easily the biggest disappointment. I do wonder if it would be any better in a re-play through.
Ezio and Bayek are the most human feeling characters of all the assassins imo top 3 games for me Brotherhood Black Flag Origins
I could slot Revelations a number of places in that list because I didn’t love the gameplay as much as the first two Ezio outings but I loved finishing his story
Uh.. what? 20 hours for completionist means it’s likely a lot shorter than that. It’s been 3 years since the last release, what the hell are they doing?
