Not surprising, I wonder if this game will follow more along the lines of the older games. Open world but far more focused on driving the story forward. I am still not understanding how the Infinity game will work. Is there a current game comparison that I use to better understand?
just finished main story in Origins. is there alot of side missions in the regions the main one doesn't go to? there's alot of areas that i never got anywhere close to.
There are some pretty good side missions way off toward the edges of the map. Go get lost in the desert.
Played more of Odyssey in the past 2 days than I have in the 4 years I’ve owned it. Something finally clicked for me to get back into AC - Also, damn you Ubisoft and the ? For unknown locations. My compulsion to go discover what it is, is strong!
For me it was the combination of discovering all of the ? marks and then completing whatever was there. During COVID I got so burnt out from my OCD of having to complete them all that I needed to take a break from the game.
The sea battling was never something I got into much although it looked fun. They did the visual updates to Origins I might go back and do a play through again. Loved that game when it came out.
Just started Valhalla this morning. Early combat is nooooooot good but it feels like I have to earn the good stuff.
In my retirement, I’m doing a lot of reading on the history that doesn’t get taught. I read an article about the Underground Railroad and let’s just say Harriet Tubman was not about the bullshit. She was a straight up G. It was difficult to read at times, as it probably should, given the barbaric subject matter.
Literally no upside that would justify making it. I’m sure they said the same about Leisure Suit Larry back in ‘88 tho.
Mad I didn’t get to finish Valhalla before my Xbox got fried. Switched to PS for this generation and I’m not starting over. Wish game progress jumped platforms.
See followup post. Evidently, I was not signed into ubisoft for my play in Valhalla somehow? I dunno, will have to toy with it.
Finished the main story. Took me 116 hours, 54 and 17 seconds. Onto the Fate of Atlantis DLC EDIT: never mind, the dlc cost money. I’ll just watch the movie version on YouTube so onto Valhalla!!!!
I had to completely rework all of the controls to more align with how they were in Origins and Odyssey. That helped alot.
I’m 10 hours in and it does feel right by this point. Managed to take down an entire castle of Saxons without alerting anyone. I love when the series just clicks at times.
I know I said earlier itt that I would love to see the American Civil War as a setting; however, I think I want to see the fall of Aztec Empire first.
Can’t think of any substantial history before Caesar that I would like to play besides Spartacus and the 3rd servile wars. However, I’d love to kill Nero though. He’s like 80 years after Caesar right?
I’d give it a chance but Sucker Punch knocked it out of the park with Ghost of Tsushima. Good luck holding a candle to that.
Apparently the Twitter user who leaked a prehistoric Far Cry years ago is back on Twitter saying it will take place during the Spanish invasion of the Aztecs and you’ll play as an Aztec
