I thought general rules of the TV forum for weekly run shows are if the episode is out there is no need to spoiler, but if you haven't seen the episode you should avoid the thread.
From the flashback scene on Yellowstone Spoiler He had two boys with him when he encountered the native Americans wanting to bury their ancestor right? Gotta wonder if one of those is Elsa’s
Pretty boring episode. Elsa is ridiculous. She is literally leaving her family for someone she met five days ago. I get that she does the star crossed lover thing, but it is a bit much. Also, if she is going to Oregon to come back anyway, why didn’t he travel with her?
Was he like the tribal leader or just the leader of the group that protects from bandits and cattle thieves? I think he was saying he has to stay because his people need him there as their leader. I don’t get why she went. This isn’t some “hey babe. I’ll be back in a few months” type of deal. You prolly won’t see that person taking off on an adventure
Or is he the one they follow when dealing with settlers and whatnot because he can speak English and actually not in any type of leadership position?
Bottom line is for all the possible reasons stated above it didn't seem to make sense, especially since he said the country is a small place to a Native American. We will be able to find where you are. Besides, with the way she falls in love, there is no way it can last if he is not there.
My long con theory is that she gets knocked up by the native. It’s covered up because that’s what people did back then. She then has the half native kid on the trail and then dies.. leaving her parents to adopt and raise as their own. fast forward to present day yellowstone timeline, John Dutton or one of his kids uncovers the truth about Elsa in the final season. Just as they’re about to lose the ranch in a court battle for imminent domain, Boom! Native American owned land (because he’s 1/16th or whatever). The ranch is saved.
Faith Hill says she was pregnant at 17 and Elsa is 18, she sure looks mid 30s. Quite attractive regardless
I’m not clear as to where they are geographically from episode to episode or generally. Seems like Texas the whole time
Makes sense they are in Wyoming and the duttons are gonna stop where Elsa dies and make that their home. Gives them time to get to Montana and not make it all the way to Oregon.
Well that was depressing, but I guess we should have realized that this was never a story about getting to Oregon.
I’m curious if there will be multiple seasons of 1883 or if 1883 is season one of an overall prequel set with season 2 being the 1924 or whatever was mentioned earlier in this thread
