Don't know about you guys, but I have peepers in hand awaiting the scene in which Sansa is raped alive. The way he said I flayed him alive killed me lol
Shit's gotta hit the fan once the rest of Westeros finds out where Sansa is, right? She's wanted for regicide which is a pretty big deal.
yea I still enjoyed it. pretty arrogant of these writers to think they can write better than the source material though.
No I think he will betray Jon because a wildling killed his family and Jon closeness to some wildlings
I disagree, kid already killed the wildling that shot his parents & Jon has taken him under his wing.
When they burned mance and Jon gave him mercy the kid gave him a stare. Or I think he did I'll have to rewatch it. Just my opinion though I bet I'm wrong.
One one hand, I agree. On the other hand, they wouldn't have written themselves into a Myrenese corner, wouldn't have written the Ironborn/Kingsmoot stuff, Jaime in the Riverlands, Doran Martell, so... Anyone think GRRM may be in favor of some of the streamlining they are doing? Maybe he's suggesting a more direct path to the endgame out of necessity (or regret).
I'm not talking about cutting down the scope of the story. I get they have to do that. I see no reason why you wouldn't have Jon say "Edd, fetch me a block" other than change for the sake of change though.
The lack of this line makes me think that we're not going to get any of the iconic lines of the series .
Jaime in the riverlands is excellent character development and I would hate to have missed out on it.
I, for one, have enjoyed the plot changes. Makes the show better and the books are clearly not the show, we all need to accept this and move on. "Edd, fetch me a block" is a much better line than "Get my sword", but for the average, not super intelligent watcher would be like "wtf did he say? Wtf a block?" Vs this was clear and easy to understand the intent immediately. Better to understand for pop culture TV, vast inferior as stand alone dialogue. Just like "only Cat" is 100x better than "your sister", but half the showfags wouldn't pick up on it or remember who "Cat" was.
no kidding, it's not that big of a deal if they dont use the exact phrases or words. they didnt change the reason littlefinger pushed lysa off the eyrie when he didnt say only cat. they didnt change the idea that jon is growing into becoming a leader when he chopped off slynts head just because he didnt say ed fetch me a block
