I very much would rather get 2nd in the metro and play Philly or the Caps than win the division and get Tampa

 

Tampa could just as easily make another run as they could get bounced first round imo

 

Yep, from the Rangers POV I want to either win the East entirely or get 2nd in the Metro. Being the 2 seed in the conference is the worst case scenario.

 

This is my annual statement that the NHL playoff format is horrendous and should be changed asap.

 

Seider is an obvious 8x8-9M. Raymond is a little more interesting. Be nice to get him in the 8x6-7M range. Bridge and could be paying for it later when we are actually contending.

It’s just so completely asinine that two 100 point teams have to play in the first round with 4-5 worse teams playing, half of them moving onto the second round.

As an Avs fan it’s just frustrating with how competitive the Central has been. But this could be said for any number of divisions over the years.

 

Hope those 6 games keep Ovi out of the playoffs

I don't have numbers in front of me but I can tell you off the top of my head they scored first and blew the lead in five straight games culminating in that 7-6 loss to Dallas this month (their first 3-goal blown lead loss in 15 years) and have blown five leads with 2 minutes left or less this year
