I still can’t believe Toronto signed Tavares. He’s basically an 11 mil version of JVR now. Still a talent but completely unnecessary.
If the Leafs are desperate to trade Marner like a bunch of dumbasses I know of an (almost) elite winger they could trade him for that would reunite a family in Toronto

Toronto squandered their short window (when Tavares was still a borderline elite player and Nylander was on a reasonable deal) by failing to ever build a decent blue line. Now they can't do anything about it until his contract is off the books next year.
I'd say I feel bad for leafs fans but then I remember that scrub Wendel Clark is one and all sympathy quickly goes away

Johnston didn’t register a single hit last night but managed to play good defense, and obviously was amazing offensively. Hockey “purists” are clutching their pearls about him being able to do that without hitting anyone in the playoffs

don cherry once said that niklas lidstrom should not win the Norris because he did not hit enough…that is an underrated worst take of all time in any sport. Lidstrom is a top 3-5 best defenseman to ever play this game
I’ve had personal experiences with Oilers and Canucks fans so I know they suck. But honestly all Canadian fan bases seem to be pretty brutal other than the Jets as a neutral
