But that place is really scraping the bottom of the barrel in terms of journalistic "integrity." The people who write the articles on that site are nothing more than glorified message board posters. The fact that they're ok with how they go about writing articles shows they have no interest in being taken seriously so I don't know why they even bother wasting their time with stuff like that. They pander to immature internet losers, and do a very good job of it. And they'll probably be the first ones to wonder why no reasonable person cares about what they write, no matter how true or not it may be.
Not everyone that dies has an obituary printed or posted online. It is easy to say in hindsight that the media should have done a better job, but it is hard to blame them for believing the story when the kid is giving details and family members are seemingly corroborating them.

Well, that's kinda the point. Normally the media would have been all over the gf's family asking for their reaction to outpouring of love from Manti and ND blah blah blah. I'm sure they tried it here, couldn't find anyone, and just moved on. It's amazing that nobody stopped to look into it for so long.

What's going to be painful here is dealing with denials, or head scratching, or whatever. If the story is false, we now have to watch Teo squirm and explain it? If it's true, maybe he didn't know. Maybe he's a virgin. Maybe he did know and was complicit. If it is all true, this is the definition of a victimless crime. I say a big Who cares!
