Loved “Forks” I didn’t like Ritchie when the show first started but he grew on me and I find him to be funny as hell.
Absolutely. It was fun watching Ritchie interact with the restaurant workers and being on a cloud when he started fitting in. Then in a flash he’s feeling low again because he knows that his time at the restaurant is over. When he was on the phone with carmy I was like “wtf Ritchie why you so down on yourself!” Then the episode ending with him and the chef was perfect. I’m thinking Ritchie being friends with Mike his whole life held him back and he was Mike’s “ride or die” type friend. Now he’s 45, Mike is gone, he sees everything moving forward and he doesn’t know where his place in the world is. But “It’s never too late to start over” and I can’t wait to see the type of character Ritchie is after this episode. Like you said, amazing writing to grow his character.
She was going to be a new character in the next big marvel movie but had to drop out because they delayed shooting by like 2 years.
Just finished the finale what was up with the ticket that made ayo go throw up? I thought it ran out of paper and they had more shit to do
You miss out and on the week long discussion points for each episode and anticipation/theories for the upcoming. Doesn’t bug me much for the Bear but something like Severance I’d rather week by week release for the discourse.
Yeah I guess it’s ok for a show like The Bear. I prefer once a week most of the time, especially for something like Succession but that’s fine.
Haha, that's funny. Personally, I far prefer binging on my own time and take my chances with social media. if it's something that I think it's gonna ruin it for me, I avoid it, but my autonomy is more important than waiting for it to come out each week. Just my opinion.
people just watch it as fast as possible to get their tweets/likes I watched 2 eps a night and I kept hearing about forks & fishes non stop before I got to them and it's not me intentionally seeking them out, i'm on twitter for politics/sports and just come across it which is what really sucks
I hear you. When I'm in the binge mode that you mention with two episodes a night I avoid the social media anytime a mention of what I'm watching comes up.
Great, then you just avoid threads and posts about the show in question. It's as hard or easy as you want to make it. I hate spoilers and will avoid them like the plague. Might be tougher if your job is TV critic ...
I can't avoid twitter was my point. It's part of my job. But you have your opinion so I won't have this argument again.
Asks what there is to hate about it Is given legitimate reasons to hate it Argues against them What’s the point in asking if you’re just going to try to argue against them?
more than anything though I miss the weekly discussion. not a huge deal but just a preference on shows I really enjoy.
Well, my point was either missed or I did a bad job of conveying it, so hate away. My opinion is clearly my own and that's just fine. Good show, glad it's back in June. Will be looking forward to it ...
The "feel good" episode of Forks was much needed after the Christmas episode. That's....a lot of trauma. Probably the most stressful episode of television I've ever seen and absolutely everyone was perfect.
My wife and I have watched the first two seasons over the past couple weeks. I absolutely love this show, the character development is so well done and I feel attached to like every regular in the show.
he got absolutely ripped for the movie The Iron Claw, which is the most depressing movie I've ever watched.
Even in S1. I made a joke during our watch how he barely had time to fall asleep on his couch but was somehow on Wahlberg’s workout regimen.
