Woah. That’d be just the crazy ass twist Filoni would pull. I was wondering if it was a Mortis for he was after. What’s her deal, is she pure dark side or did she want to destroy the force completely?
I have no idea other than what I read in the link I posted about her. Sounds like Luke spent a lot of time combating her.
IIRC she was the servant to the Mortis gods and she aged but they couldn’t and she ended up banging the dad. I don’t know if banging him gave her powers or what exactly happens besides her getting super powerful and evil.
He’s already deviated pretty strongly from the EU stuff, killed the character off in Rebels that kills him.
Referring to Thrawn as “Heir to the Empire” (Zahn’s book title) Jacen, Hera’s son (Han and Leia’s kid’s name in legends, twin of Jaina) Dathomir and the witches are in a bunch of early books. Gilad Pellaeon as one of the new leads of the Empire but in books was like second in command to Thrawn as a Star Destroyer admiral. I’m sure there are many others.
Looking at wookiepedia on Abeloth one interesting note is that she escapes her prison every time the balance of the force shifts and it’s the Son and Daughters job to re-imprison her. So in theory she could of been freed when Palp died and now that the son and daughter are dead she’s free to cause havoc.
I don’t think the masses are ready for son/daughter/father stuff tbh something like bindu is about as far as they’ll stretch on that domain of force lore
I thought it was funny they didn’t include those episodes in their “Essential Ahsoka” list. I mean, she died and was resurrected, seems pretty essential.
As someone that has watched the mainstream stuff (not animated tv shows), this show already is borderline a bit too weird for my view of the Star Wars universe. I'm enjoying it, but the stuff like hyper space whales, just weird shit.
It did the opposite for me and tickled my nerd pickle so I went down a rabbit hole on all the weird stuff. Finished clone wars and been looking up stuff on Star Wars wiki. I get that way with shows like GoT and want to find out about everything
well they're not resurrected troopers it seems happy baylon isn't dead, he seems happy to move on loved Ahsoka's entrance into the fight no way theres only 1 episode left, unless its 2 hours long
Last post for now, but Ezra fighting force only was amazing. He used the force to bend a lightsaber!!!
I’ve enjoyed this series a lot, but thought this week’s episode was the worst one of the season and heavy on the cheesiness.
I loved seeing a warmed up Ahsoka. The banter with Huyang, the compassion with Ezra, the vulnerability to open up the bond with Sabine. She was broken and cold to start the series but she’s healing from the trauma of the Clone Wars and losing Anakin.
Yeah, this episode did nothing for me. Stupid 3PO and Leia nonsense because of course. Mon Mothma is useless. The battle scene was kind of dumb to me. I love this series but this felt like the kind of thing that Star Wars can't help itself from doing that drags its new stuff down.
I...loved seeing 3PO. I geeked out a little seeing him and my wife rolled her eyes at me. Liked seeing Ahsoka becoming more playful. Agree with everything else posted. Especially the desire to see more Baylan that will be unfulfilled unless that character is left undended with a recast possible. They are most definitely operating with at least another season in mind.
As a Star Wars n00b I was kinda confused when Anakin mentioned she could encounter Dooku. Thought that guy had died a long time ago. Unless he was talking abut meeting him in one of the training sequence things like she was going through in episode 5.
The last time they saw each other (before Anakin became Vader) was right before Anakin left to join the battle where he would kill Dooku and Ahsoka went to Mandalore; those holograms would have been made before that
Kind of confused by Morgan Elsbeth's thought process right now. You did all this to go get Thrawn, and then you question him at every turn strategically and get on his bad side before you even get back to your galaxy. Bold strategy.
