I have zero confidence we are keeping KC out of field goal range. Just don’t give up a TD and hope you can get into FG range when you get the ball back
And that’s why it was TD or bust. The defense hasn’t looked close to stopping KC since the third quarter
That was the shot, I think the run getting close to back to that point is over. Sucks for the defense but special teams lost them the game. Kyle was bad at times but good enough to win.
Fire Wilks. Pathetic that he’s going to get credit for one good half of football. Romo is basically calling his ass out for being so fucking basic
If Moody made the extra point then it just ends in regulation. We got lucky that Mahomes didn’t see Rice or it was curtains regardless. The defense was god awful in the second half. Stop giving them credit
Maybe your expectations on the defense were wildly different. After seeing the last two games and losing Greenlaw they played their ass off. God awful was the Lions 1st half.
I blame Kyle and the offense more than the defense but they were still shit. Literally just gifting Mahomes 6 yards over the middle every… single… fucking… play.
Maybe I feel differently as time passes over the offseason but just felt like an end of another era of close but not going to get there roster/possibly regime. Felt to me very reminiscent of the Seahawks last NFC Championship. Devastating linebacker injury, so close just can’t make enough plays and ends in heartbreak. Kittle seemed old tonight. Trent is another year in the tooth next year. You aren’t getting this level of CMC likely. Then the other emerging teams on the rise. Hope I am wrong but feels like it will be another 7-10 before getting a shot at 6 again on this stage. This one hurts worse than either of the previous two partly because of that, but also I expected to win both of those and rather at peace with this one at the same time.
Not a Niners fan but I disagree. you guys are this good, and you've still got the best cheat code. A reliable QB on a rookie deal.
But you are already halfway through that and he doesn’t have a 5th year option. Maybe they can squeak out next year but I don’t see him playing on a rookie deal in year 4. And the roster is on the older side and will lose very significant contributors this offseason.
Buddy. The Seahawks last SB loss was worse. Also, I don’t think the wheels fall off for you guys yet.
I was telling the wife this hurts because that wasn’t a great chiefs team. I don’t know if it was Purdys inexperience or what but the inability to ever make them pay for a blitz, along with two special teams miscues, were the difference. We brought an all out blitz and it was the easiest first down ever for Mahomes.
Probably #1 Bay Area sports team loss for me personally over warriors 72-9. That being said the team played well especially the defense. The ball just didn’t bounce our way at times and we went up against one of the all time greats at QB. -Shitty bounce off the heel on the punt return -guys dropping like flies during the game Brayden Willis playing in overtime of a Super Bowl and having a drive killing hold is going to haunt me.
I feel more optimistic than at that point, I was impressed by Brock tonight and I’m curious what a full healthy offseason will bring about next year. I don’t doubt the team will change but I think Shan with a QB will always be a competitive team. By a miracle they weathered the lance deal, but that still has cost them a few years of talent, it will take some time to reload (assuming they can hit on their picks). I think of everything you mentioned Trent is going to be the hardest to replace.
