I think this would represent an ideal board at 25 to choose from, and I think I would go either DeJean or Barton, but I could be persuaded by others
Barton just looks like a Packer Mims would be great because they don't necessarily need someone this year and could develop him into an all pro level player. DeJean makes so much sense because the could still target a corner or safety later without having to reach because he can play so many places. Chop would make sense in the short term but I don't think they would take a pass rush specialist type that early unless they thought the rest of his game developed more into an every down player Guyton same idea as Mims just not quite as elite
I think if they have to reach at any point in the draft it might make sense for Edgerrin Cooper at 41 (if that even is considered a reach). They need help at off ball linebacker and there isn't much of a supply. Unless the new regime thinks they can get what they need out of any plug in lb in the 5th or 6th. RB it would be nice if they got a guy that by year 3 has a chance to be the guy and not need to keep paying Jacobs. Maybe Jaylen Wright or Brooks in the 3rd. Shipley or Irving in the 4th or later could be useful
None of us have watched any OL tape. I feel like these guys have a good record with OL so no reason to hate it if you were ok with them taking OL
Feels like a wasted pick if he's not playing major minutes or starting this season. Packers again wasting the prime years of a good QB by not filling immediate needs as the top priority.
Everything I’ve read suggests he’ll likely start at guard. We have a good bit of flexibility positionally.
They lost their swing tackle and right guard. You need more than 5 starting caliber lineman. Starter or no that helps Jordan Love.
Brugler has us going 41. Edgerrin Cooper 58. Jaden Hicks 88. Jalyx Hunt (Edge) 91. Dewayne Carter DT That would be fine. Kinda feel like a true corner at some point makes sense though like Tampa or Melton. Maybe Cam Hart in the 3rd/4th
We traded 53 and 59 for #34 when we drafted Watson. We have 41, 58, 88, 91. No idea if 41 and 88 gets it done. If it's 41 and 58 I think they need to get a later round pick back.
He was right there. Goddamnit. I guess we didn’t like Kool Aid since he was right there and we traded out.
Don’t get it but that’s as clear a sign as any he wasn’t a take for us. This pick is 100% going to be a WTF
