Sucks to lose that way. Team is very clearly ahead of schedule though and set up well for the next few years.
Savage needs to pick that ball in the first and love got to work on 2 min drill. We also went away from the run early in the 4th that probably cost us some too
Ehh this felt like the start of the 90s run. 9ers need to get it done this year as I think the window is nearly closed. Helluva team you guys have, should be good for a while.
Love two worst throw cost us a first down and an int also but damn I enjoyed watching him in the second half of the season
I love LaFleur probably more than anyone else here, but he needs to stop blowing it in the playoffs. I don't care that we were the 7 and they were the 1, we were in control of that game and blew it. All three phases folded
Probably the best available players by our internal metrics. And we'll all bitch and complain and everything will work out fine.
That fucking sucked. The future looks really bright but I can’t help feel that we honestly had a chance to win it all. It’s shocking to say that after 2-5 but this was a team that was playing good enough to win 2 more. Killed the draft minus 1 kicker. Don’t draft and develop a kicker. Bring in multiple kickers and find the one that is most consistent. Fuck
Move on from Campbell Bring back 91 and 33, maybe 26 draft C (don’t think they will), CB, S, use a top 100 pick on an RB, don’t be afraid to draft WR in the top 100
only thing I’m worried a bit about is safety draft supposed to be weak (Savage can come back if a defensive coordinator plays him more often in a rover style position). Outside of the top the tight-ends supposed to be bad as well. Did well to get that spot secured big time. Bak probably done with his $20 million cap savings (even if $19 still going to dead cap hit). 33 back and offense you spend picks on Line, running back and *maybe* a wr but once again you hammer defense and hope Barry is gone.
Savage? only other one I can think is Runyan Junior but I bet they go to Sean Rhyan for money savings and he was as good this year when rotating. I have a better chance of getting a contract than Royce Newman. **edit** Quadzilla as well but I doubt they resign him. Would have to be a really friendly team deal or they strike out in draft. Wilson will be a fallback plan #2, have been hearing Jones is absolutely in plans and I think he wants to stay.
No one of consequence for the moment. Maybe get Savage cheap, or draft a Safety. Needs based mock: (which means they'll do none of this)
We want Cooper Dejean, an area of need, explosive athlete, and (while I fucking hate them) we are batting an insanely high rate from Iowa.
Nubin is such a baller too. I’d be more comfortable with him at 41. Gutey has taken some non-premium positions in the 1st including a S so maybe?
I can’t fully enjoy how triggering that DeJean invalid fair catch signal is to Iowa fans if the guy is on my favorite pro team.
Runyan seems like a good dude. Would be good depth if cheap but the way this team churns OL on rookie contracts, I’d be surprised if he’s back.
It will suck for sure. But there just isn’t a great amount of depth in secondary (what I’ve read from draft nerds) and his versatility would be great. Going to score high on RAS and GB jerks it to that.
