Love this show. I think I'm team Beck over Love, but it's close. Fringe characters were significantly better in season 2, which made for an overall better season imo.
we agreed on 13 reasons. You’re trending the same way I did re: You. Hold out, You gets better post episode 5.
I think overall I liked season 1 better overall but the last 3 episodes of season 2 were amazing Question Spoiler why did he try to kill love with the handcuff? Just seemed really out of character for him
Final scene spoiler/comment Spoiler my gf doesn’t think it’s his mom for two reasons. 1. She thinks that ladies hands/body looked younger than joes mom 2. She specifically told joe not to bring his books (maybe called them dumb books?) but This lady had a stack of books with her. I think these make sense but I think it’s the mom too. Maybe she took up reading cause she missed joe
Spoiler Not sure the book thing has to mean anything. Maybe the stunt double has the wrinkly hands. That’s all I got to debunk those theories.
Beck>Love, but Season 2>Season 1 Someone mentioned it, but the characters in season 2 were so much better, especially Ellie and Forty.
Binged this show on a few flights. Season 1 was very soap operaish but fuck it, I was in. I liked Season 2 even more. Give me some fucked up women with girl next door looks any day. Excited to see where they take this.
I'm through episode 1 of season 2 and I'm having trouble getting over how much this show rips of Dexter and suspending disbelief for a lot of the shit that happens.
Just finished episode 9 season 2 and it was so stupid I had to look up what happened in the finale. Season 1 wasn’t bad but shit went off the rails in this season imo
i quit during episode 2 season 2. It went downhill fast in season one but it was still tolerable. Season two just had an annoying tone to me after I saw all the flaws of season one. How can this fucker just follow people with a hat on and nobody notices? And he wears the watch of a guy he killed? Not only that but the former gf of that guy which he is now almost living with never notices but her best friend does which leads to her murder? Just stupid writing.
Shows not trying to be some groundbreaking great thing. It’s a fun show because it dumb and has cliff hangers. seems weird that people can’t enjoy 45 minutes or so of shows like this. Shows like this don’t need to be analyzed. Just enjoy it for what it is
Really like this show. It took me way too long to realize some ridiculous parents in LA named their twins "FORTY LOVE". Don't think I realized it until they were playing tennis together in one of the early episodes. Anyway, this season was better because it had a better surrounding cast. I couldn't stand Beck's friends as they were written. Also think love did a really good job with the role. Spoiler I think it's a missed opportunity nothing from season 1 carried over other than Candace...which we knew going in. Nothing with the PI from season 1 investigating the rich girls death. No notes from Paco. Just completely moved on. I think it has to be his mom. I just don't see it as a new love interest and he consistently talks about being with her forever. That said...it would have been a much better cliffhanger to reveal her instead of it being a mystery. A reveal would have had me more interested in season 3 the way Candace did for season 2 So basically Delilah just disappears? I understand the investigation around henderson is toxic but Delilah is just brushed under and the cop boyfriend just drops it? That didn't feel closed.
Couple more things I just thought about they could have buttoned up a bit more. Spoiler 1. How long did love know his real name was Joe? Or did the PI not investigate him until way after she found out? It would have been a good twist if she knew from much further back but didn't care because of her own brokenness. 2. Youd think in forty's acid trance in episode 8...when he confessed with candles that in his moment of clarity "i Killed her"...he actually would have said he DIDNT kill her like everyone thought because in the end he talked about how he always knew it was Love who did. It was weird he just flipped that around at the very end.
Watched 3.1. Spoiler definitely not what I expected to end just episode 1. Especially the way season 2 ended with the mystery of who's in the lawn chair and she's already gone
Huge fan of this season. Making Love crazier than Joe, but still letting Joe be crazy was a great move.
Wife and I debated who was crazier. We thought Love, but ultimately went with Joe because Spoiler cutting off your toes to frame someone is insane
That's gotta be annoying as an actor. All next season he's gotta walk around with a limp that will be irrelevant to that season.
Was he walking with a limp in the very last scene? When he walks out of the cafe? I don't remember seeing one
Still haven’t made it past s3 although watched all but like two episodes. They’ve really turned this into a show with unlikeable characters across the board. Not fun to watch imo
Finished s3 and after seeing the trailer for s4 it’s almost like they realized half way through s3 that the show was starting to really suck and decided to just reset everything. S4 looks batshit
