I feel like season 4 was so immensely terrible and so far off the trajectory of what was happening leading up to it that this show is impossible to fix. I’ll follow this thread and make note of the opinions of posters I respect the opinions of but I’m done with this shit otherwise. Super sad about it as well
Rewatched the series with my gf and season 4 was better (still a drop off) the second time around. Probably in large part due to not having the groupthink in this thread exacerbating the drop in quality while I was watching. Hoping the spin-off promotion will not be a thing in season 5.
Classic case of a show they didn't know would be successful so they never had a plan in place beyond the first season or two. They have no idea where to take show or how to land it.

Making John governor was such a dumb idea. His two kids sibling rivalry making decisions for the governor is so silly love all the bad stuff, including murder, these people gave done, but they made sure to let everyone know not to just shoot a bear per the law lmao this show also is ridiculously bad at just forgetting plots and things that have happened. It’s just like they make up a new story before each season and just roll with it my wife used to watch greys anatomy years ago, and every once in a while I would sit on the couch while it was on. This show is very much like greys anatomy
