Hey guys, I had a question. My son is a freshman and just started wrestling this year, he wrestled a few varsity matches but mostly varsity b. His coaches seem to think he can be all-state by the time he's a senior. I say this to ask if anyone near Michigan knows the best camps for intermediate wrestlers. One of his coaches suggested Team Miron camps in Ohio, but his teammate who placed 5th at the state finals said it would be too advanced for him technique wise at this point. We've already got him going to the Michigan and Michigan State camps this summer, looking for potentially one or two more.
Looks like the rumors or Zach Tanelli leaving Columbia HC spot to be an Assistant at VT are true. He resigned today.
I'm pretty sure Ziola is the first kid ever from Nebraska to win an Ironman title so he's a decent homegrown, which is nice. Likely a 197 in college
Starocci completely backtracked on his not coming back for a 5th title stance. In the same interview he said he was 60/40 not coming back after the season, now he's 60/40 coming back, but then he goes on to talk about what weight he's going to wrestle next year and suggests he could wrestle at 197. He's coming back.
It doesn’t make sense for him not to come back unless he’s going the UFC route. Should be able to make more in NIL than a non Olympic year.
Starting out the day with Kaleb Larkin teching Kolodzik, Mendez beating McKenna, Bartlett beating Nahshon, and Mirasola beating McFadden. I wonder if that’s a theme throughout trials with the young guys showing out.
Man you just never know. facundo blanks Levi Haines, Downey up 4-1 on starocci at the break but gassing already.
Story of the day so far has been the young guys dominating, but Marcus Blaze can't possibly beat Suriano, can he?
think it’s just peacock never doing wrestling before and not being prepared. the activity clock is also busted
Was that an upset? I haven’t seen the brackets and very unfamiliar with international wrestling even though I love it
