Losing Nasri would just be a disaster. It cannot happen under any circumstance.

I really have zero clue on Gervinho. Goal says we made a big but that site is a joke. We really have no good insiders as far as transfers, nearly impossible to sort through the rumors. Some are accurate, most aren't.

lets talk theoretically about a situation that could definitely happen. if we do lose fabregas and nasri, we will clearly have gotten a shit load of money for them, who would be some possible replacements?

You absolutely cannot sell Nasri and I'm sure Wenger knows it. You have to sign him.

He doesn't go for anything this year: 12-15 mil tops which isn't half what he's worth. Even if Nasri wants to be sold in a couple years you pretty much had those years for free as he'll demand 25+ at least in a transfer later on.

Replacements: Hazard, Gervinho, someone like that. Lille aren't selling Hazard though for less than 30 to us so that's not happening.

There really isn't a replacement for Fabregas. Sign Gotze maybe, :idk:. He is the best out there I can think of but no way a deal gets done. Dortmund value him too much.

Think what would happen is upgrading other spots if Fabregas leaves, and right now I'm thinking Fabregas stays.

I would really like Wenger to start making moves. At least get us Samba or Cahill soon, preferable Samba. Djourou is just getting worse and worse.

Wenger really needs to stop fucking around with this one. The future sell on value far outweighs the cost of an extra £20k a week he wants on his contract. It's roughly £5M extra over the course of a 5 year contract. That will easily be covered if you sell him in a few years in the £20-25M range instead of now at £12-15M you mentioned because everybody knows you have to sell him.

Nasri is 23 (and improving) and Arshavin is 29 (and regressing).

Nasri is a ready made replacement for Cesc if we sell him. We have nobody else that can step immediately into that position and we will not spend anywhere near the amount of money required for a superstar to replace Cesc (which is retarded because we would likely have £40-50M to spend from his sale).

Wenger's wage structure has long been a sore point to a lot of fans. Paying guys like Nasri £110k a week would not be an issue if we stopped paying sacks of shit like Denilson, £40-50k a week. We pay young players that have done absolutely nothing way too much and we pay our best players less than what equal talent at our top rivals are being paid. It's fucking stupid.

LOL. Ozil was too expensive for Wenger last year at a cut price.

Nasri sold to Bayern. Cesc to Real Madrid.

Wenger "We have Wilshere, Diaby and Henri Lansbury, we do not need to spend because it will kill their growth."

    Re: Arsenal 2011/2012 Season Thread

The Arshavin assist total is a statistical anomaly. I guess his final ball ended in a lot of assists but he loses the ball FAR more than any player and also tracks back worse than any player on the squad.

Nasri is irreplaceable because Cesc is gonna leave eventually, whether it's this year or in 2 years it's gonna happen. The 2 best playmakers Arsenal have are Nasri and Cesc and you have to hold onto them.

Plus you pretty much have him for free as Jork said. Future sell value is greater than present sell value with 1 year left on a contract + that contract. Plus he is 23 and a special talent. It's like selling Jack for 15 mil right now. Just plain stupid and makes zero sense for the club or financially.

We'll see with Gervinho. Definitely not opposed to adding him. Probably signal the end of Arshavin.

Garreth Bale had something like 11 goals and 3 assists in 40 games and was POY. It's just ridiculously hard to produce all season.

I can't think of 1 attacker in the whole EPL that played great start to finish.

I'll still take what Nasri can give us but he definitely broke down. Not really on his jock but he is pretty irreplaceable.

You switch Hazard for Nasri then I'd be fine but Hazard costs 30 mil and Nasri won't sell for more than 15. We have to keep him.

He's a true playmaker, no doubt.

Our lack of player movement is likely just do to a lot of moving parts & nothing being resolved. The Cesc situation is likely the priority. Once that is resolved, everything else should fall into place. Doubtful we do anything until we know his status.

A stat that does matter is wins. Nasri has had pretty pedestrian stats in 2011 and we have had a pretty pedestrian results in '11, I definitely see a correlation. He had a great beginning to the season but I just don't think he is absolutely necessary on the squad, especially when he is playing out wide.

Nasri was part of the problem last year but hardly responsible for the last 6 years of the same shit from March on. I put a lot more blame on the defense than any attacker this year. Gotta learn to play defense if you wanna win.

It's Ukraine-France zap and I think rainey is right since I saw Wenger with a headset on.

Fucking Gameiro. Give the guy an inch and he makes you pay. Probably the best outright finisher I've seen this year besides Messi. Has had 2 shots this game, 1 was a spin and he worked the keeper and the other was a shot from 20 that he buried.

M'Vila is impressive as is Sakho. Loic Remy hasn't done shit and neither has Menez.
