Right. There isn't much access on the sites. Just random shit like Bentley looks good and Hayden Hurst made a diving catch
At Auburn they issue a play by play of the scrimmage that they later go back and make changes to to prop up certain starters
Everyone was amazing. Spoiler have consistently heard that Shi Smith is turning heads and could be a starter against NC State
TC here is the actual scrimmage scoop. Like i said it's not really scrimmage info though Spoiler Junior tight end Hayden Hurst had a diving catch down the sideline in Saturday’s scrimmage and is a player who has impressed throughout fall practice. He is catching the ball very well and has also progressed as a blocker from what I have heard. The 6-foot-5, 250 pounder has also emerged as one of the team leaders on offense and many inside the program believe he is poised to have a strong season in 2017. The tight ends will be a big part of the Gamecock offense and Hurst is expected to be one of Jake Bentley's favorite targets. I have not written much about Bentley so far this month, but that is not because he has not been impressive in practice. Word is he has improved in nearly every category. He is making quicker decisions, is in control of the offense and looks like a guy who will be one of the best quarterbacks in the conference. I also hear the changes to the offense have been of benefit to him and makes the system a better fit for his overall skill set. I also was told Dennis Daley looked good on Saturday and to not rule out the idea of him winning the left tackle position prior to the season opener against N.C. State. True freshman Jamyest Williams also excelled at nickel and Keil Pollard is coming on strong as another option at tight end/H-back. He has a chance to be a more significant part of the offense than many realize. A newcomer I am hearing more and more about is linebacker Sherrod Greene. He possesses a nice combination of speed and physicality and plays the position with good instincts. South Carolina is very thin at linebacker and will need Greene and other newcomers, such as junior college transferEldridge Thompson, to be ready to provide depth this season. The new linebackers will also help on special teams. Media reacts to Christian Hackenberg's performance vs. TitansSTART SLIDESHOW The loss of Jaylin Dickerson to season-ending shoulder surgery cannot be underestimated. South Carolina was already thin at the safety position, particularly when it comes to playmakers, and Dickerson was being counted on to play a big role in the secondary this season. The 6-foot-1, 190 pounder enrolled early and was a standout during spring practice and is a player the coaching staff is very high on for the future. The only good news is he obviously has a redshirt year available, so he will still have four years of eligibility remaining starting in 2018.
Do yall know anywhere around town giving out eclipse glasses? I checked the main library and they don't have any at the moment.
Thanks arkadin. Lol at the irony of that Christian Hackenburg pic popping up in the middle of your post
I like how the hype train will last for two years before we find out he's terrible instead of just one preseason.
Still sucks though. Guy probably isn't near as good as Felder and we only get him one year whereas Felder had three more. I'm assuming this is it for Felder since he already got suspended once last year. Sigh
If yall still need eclipse glasses, the last 2 nights park rangers have been handing them out for free at riverfront park off huger st. I think they said they'll be doing it again tonight 5-7.
Josh Vann just committed to us. He was like the top slot receiver or the top receiver or something at the opening nike national camp.
TC I remember you saying you went to get fitted for running shoes in the past. Did the fitting end up working better for you than the shoes you wore previously?
Yeah, can't say I put much thought into previous choices as I just grabbed shit based on look/price but these are def the best ones I've had. I went in open minded not trying to be biased towards a brand and I tried on Brooks, Asics and maybe one other and still ended up with Nike which has always been my go to. But yeah they feel really good. If you're running more than a couple miles you def want to be in proper footwear esp as we get all old and such
Idk exactly, they took a couple measurements of my foot and also observed me walking/running I guess to see how your stride is and which part of your foot strikes the ground first
Russell House Chick Fil A is getting improved Prayers sent to Pandini's fans 3. Campus dining has changed Out with the Chick-fil-A Express at Russell House and in with the real thing. A new vendor is changing some of USC’s on-campus dining options, including – to everyone’s glee – a full-service Chick-fil-A. Aramark is also bringing: ▪ Two new Starbucks shops – one in the Thomas Cooper Library and another in the Welsh Humanities Building. ▪ Three new Russell House restaurants: Olilo, featuring Mediterranean cuisine; the Congaree River Smokehouse; and an unnamed all-you-can-eat restaurant. But sorry, USC students. You can’t have your cake and eat it too. The changeover means the Pandini’s Italian restaurant has left Russell House for good. Spoiler: Full Article 10 new things at USC this fall BY AVERY G. WILKS [email protected] LINKEDIN GOOGLE+ PINTEREST REDDIT ORDER REPRINT OF THIS STORY AUGUST 18, 2017 10:04 AM The University of South Carolina doesn’t sleep, even when students are away for the summer. As students return to campus Tuesday and start classes Thursday, here are 10 new things to greet them: 1. A mini-makeover for Greene Street The road that cuts through the heart of campus is becoming more of a pedestrian pathway. ADVERTISING Over the summer, USC went to work widening the section of Greene Street, between Sumter Street and the gate near Longstreet Theatre, to make room for a planter with palmetto trees. The school has plans to improve the landscaping along Greene Street and to extend its bike lanes toward Sumter Street. 2. More shuttle routes As part of an effort to discourage students from driving to campus, the school has expanded its shuttle options. This fall, USC is adding shuttle pick-up locations at two off-campus apartment complexes: Aspyre, on Assembly Street, and Park Place, near Blossom Street. Of course, you’re welcome to hop on at those stops if you’re walking over from the Olympia area as well. 3. 4. Tuition is up Same song, different verse. USC trustees this summer passed a 3.46 percent tuition hike for the upcoming school year, the largest hike in six years. That means S.C. students will pay $410 more in tuition next year. Out-of-state students will pay $1,082 more. 5. Better campus map Ever try to find a class on the campus map on USC’s website? It’s not a good time. USC is trying to help. The school is launching a 3-D online map that shows academic buildings, on-campus restaurants, landmarks, parking areas, shuttle routes and more. It even has a feature for move-in day, showing where students should park, check in and recycle trash. 6. New statues USC has gone on a statue binge. A bronze replica of Cocky, the school’s popular mascot, is expected to be unveiled early this fall on a bench near the Melton Observatory on Greene Street. The 400-pound bird cost USC $85,000. A statue of Richard T. Greener, the first African-American faculty member at USC, is expected to be unveiled sometime this year next to Thomas Cooper Library. The statue and surrounding plaza will cost $225,000. 7. Welcome back, now get to class That six-day grace period you used to get between move-in day and the start of class? Yeah, now you get two. Blame the eclipse. But USC also has looked to shorten the transition period to keep students from getting into trouble. 8. New student health center is open The five-story, 68,000-square-foot building under construction at the heart of campus over the past two years finally is done. The new $27.5 million student-health center, open now next to the current Thomson Student Health Center, will offer: ▪ An eye clinic ▪ Expanded sports medicine and physical therapy services, including a rehab gym ▪ Expanded pharmacy with more prescription medicines and over-the-counter drugs ▪ A demonstration kitchen to teach healthy eating habits 9. New law school building After years of fundraising and construction, USC’s $80 million law school building opened its doors this summer at Gervais and Bull streets. The logical next step for the law school, then, is to improve on that No. 88 national ranking. 10. New opportunity for USC’s entrepreneurs USC students of all majors can get a taste of what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur starting this fall at USC’s new McNair Institute for Entrepreneurism and Free Enterprise. The institute will offer its first class this fall, hoping to push students toward entrepreneurship while giving them a deeper understanding of the U.S. economy and real world.
It gets the wrecking ball after this year. Bates, Bates West, Cliff Apartments, Carolina Gardens all torn down and replaced with a "campus village" of new dorm buildings. The people that live in that neighborhood around DiPrato's wouldn't sign off on the plan until the University agreed to place "safety monitors" in their neighborhood weekend nights to guard against drunks cutting through on their way to Five Points
Glad to see that, I always wondered if maybe our guys started out a little short of breath from the CO2 tbh
