For my money Mike Schmidt is the best third baseman of all time. But now that he's moved on to his second career as an investigative journalist I really have to tip my hat to him.
I really hope the next person to interviews trump says, "I know you can't be guilty. You'd have to be one of the smartest people in the WORLD to pull off a conspiracy of this magnitude!"

yea this deserved a lot more coverage.... Congress, Paul Ryan, et al knew that the Russians were trying to destabilize our country but did nothing to protect us b/c it meant the GOP would gain power. Really damning inaction. At the 11th hour, they put Party over Country.
It's hard to say. I've known these 4 guys for a long, long time. They are not racists or bigots, they just fell hook, line and sinker for Trump and the GOP's bullshit. "Oh the dems want to take your guns away", "oh the dems want to allow babies to be ripped from mother's wombs", "only the GOP and Trump and help the middle class", etc. Plus all are pretty hard core anti-abortion. I've tried explaining that being pro-choice doesn't mean you're pro-abortion. I initially feel like saying "fuck y'all, this is your fault". But I'm sure I'll have sympathy for them since I've known them so long. And maybe this will open their eyes that Trump, his croonies and his GOP enablers don't actually care about them. Some people don't learn until something hits them personally.
Upwards of 18 months, unless something 'bigly' happens before then. It takes many hours to even get the information, many more to sort through it, many more to release findings. When I worked for the SDNY, some of our organized crime/money laundering cases, involving FBI, ICE, ATF, etc, took years. I mostly concentrated on money laundering cases and they are obviously quite complex.
Why do pro-life people stop caring after the baby leaves the womb? What sort of mental gymnastics do they do to believe trump or the GOP would ever help the middle class?
They'll probably leak from the FBI investigation. It will probably be hard to tell where it came from though.
The GOP might stop caring but these guys don't. They all are very giving and charitable people. They've just been indoctrinated by Fox and the GOP to truly think that only they can help the middle class. I will keep continuing to help swing these types. The racists and bigots can all rot in hell.
There are always leaks. There are a lot of good journalists out there who know how to play the game. Plus, Trump has pissed off the FBI on more than one occasion. There are probably dozens of Mark Felts waiting to take down Trump...if there is info for him to be down with. Imagine you are a division head, with 30 years in the FBI, investigating these Russian ties for months under Obama. Then, Trump comes in and says everything you've been doing is totally wrong and what you are doing is more or less unpatriotic. You are near retirement, say, a couple of years to go. He/She might even believe it's patriotic to leak...and have a strong argument.
I like how a recently fired media tycoon with close ties to a scandalous administration with Russian connections dies suddenly and no one (besides perhaps Shu) is suspecting foul play... just an old fat guy whose heart finally gave out.
Tell them laws don't stop abortion. Women didn't start having abortions after Roe v Wade. Things that lower abortion rates are proper sex education and availability of contraception.
One day I'm going to sit down and make them read every fact filled article that disputes what the GOP says. I've just been too damn busy lately. Of course the way shit has went this week, it might not matter cause Trump and the GOP will go down.

I mean you can think what you want of them. I'll hold out hope that the non racists and bigots can be swung. Should probably save LEO hatred for the large numbers of horrible ones that are beating and killing people. Not the ones that voted for what they legitimately thought was going to help them.
Yep. It shows that the GOP leadership knew what was going on, but stood by and let it happen (and even tried to take advantage of it!) because it could help them politically.

Wal-Mart got destroyed k the market 2 years ago for raising wages. They tried to tell ppl about ling term growth but they scoffed at them and wanted short term profits. In America's capitalism, you can invest in everything except people
