It's a shame he can only be truthful bc he decided to not run again. The rest of the party is too scared to hold him accountable
Or you know because regulations were removed and tax cuts are coming. But who is paying attention anyway.
Outside some EPA shit not much has changed and it isn't coal mining companies that are driving the stock market
All of the ones that were removed helped the growth. Im going to sit back and enjoy you guys trying to tell me otherwise. I need a good laugh this morning.
Actually, your post above claimed that NO regulations have been removed. I even quoted it. Now, go ahead.
He's actually right this time - regulations are being removed by executive order. He wouldn't be able to name any of them without googling, and even after googling he wouldn't be able to provide a cogent explanation of the specific impact of most (maybe all) of them on the economy. But he is right that Trump is removing regulations by EO.
Really? Did we not gain any jobs in those sectors? How do you account for no regulations being added? If the lack of regulations hasn't helped, what do you think that 20+% increase in the markets since A republican was elected?
And just when I come to his defense, he backtracks and implies he doesn't actually know that Trump has been removing regulations by EO.
Obama's stewardship of our nation from 2009 to early 2017, and the lack of faith in Trump's ability to lead his party to be able fuck anything up too badly.
Blind squirrels and such, but seriously claiming accomplishments about a 9 month increase in the stock market after it was already on a similar upward trend from Obama's presidency since 2009 while the economy was recovering from a disastrous Bush term is a bit shortsighted.
Has it really only been 9 months? I was 40 when he was inaugurated and I'm 90 now, so I don't think that it's only been 9 months.
Aren’t a lot of those regulations still on the books and due to states like NY and CA those regulations are not likely to simply go away, at least the environmental regs.
So it is now acceptable for a cabinet member to flat out refuse to provide an answer during a congressional hearing? I fucking hate the Republican Party.
Manufacturers being able to dump more carcinogens in out waterways and atmosphere, and no oversight over what goes into our food and medicine is certainly going to help the economy in the long term though. Historically, there's never been any negative repercussions to completely unfettered laissez-faire capitalism.
Oh, so you are admitting he manipulated that chart? You know, manipulated to fit his false narrative. #fake news
Wow - in the first 15 months of Obama's presidency, the market doubled (and then it doubled again over the next 8 years) - over 300%. If you invested $1000, you'd have more than $4k. Over the first 9 months of Trump's admin, it's up what - almost 15%? If you invested $1000, you wouldn't have enough profits to be able to afford a nice anniversary dinner with your wife. See how fun reframing the stats can be?
