i think it was weird they didnt show blood from the gunshot wounds like they showed the autopsy from the guys dick being blown off but not a central character thus far?
Wasn't Farrell part of the big orgy scene that's coming up? IMO not dead but no way dude would survive a shotgun blast that close up in real life. Maybe bean bag rounds? That would make the lack of blood and guts make sense. But what would be the point of using bean bag rounds?

1. yea you get hit with anything more than 6 or so shot and you not only dead your guts are forever combined with hardwood. had to be rock salt or rat shot or something. thought it odd colin was more stunned on the ground than he was like oh shit im dying. 2. i think birdman is the psyche doctor. weird vibe. but birdman was handling that shotgun with proficiency... so maybe not

I definitely missed a couple of lines even after rewinding a few times, especially at the end of the conversations.
Really enjoyed the first two episodes. People that pick apart every little thing from shows like this are the fucking worst and I hope they die of AIDS and hopefully before next weeks show.
I liked this episode a lot. Agreed that the car scene was pretty bad but overall I really liked it. Also, was that a fat Bodie Broadus?!?!?

He also has what is seems like a throwaway line, but says a lot when it is put in context of his other actions. Paul: "Oh, this one fag, at the bank, he actually tried hitting on me... I almost clocked the guy." Other Cop" "Why would you do that?" All he does in response is stare at the other cop and the other two leads walk in.
Any speculation on who the birdman is? Do you think he has been shown yet? Gonna just take a guess and say it is the redhead that is part of VV's crew. He was with VV in the strip club when the girl gave him the address to the unknown house. Unless the guy in the black car was just sitting there hours upon hours just waiting for someone to show up, you would think that he would of have to have known that CF was coming. I thought the birdman would have inside knowledge that CF was gonna show up. IDFK. Just spitballing. Can't find a better pic but his name in the show is Blake Churchman. Seems like a shady cunt IMO.

My coworker and me said the same thing about the bullets. I'm gonna rewatch tonight but it could have just been a load of rock salt. He shoots one, pumps/ejects, and loads another shell. Correct me if I got that sequence wrong as I was getting tired but afterwards that stuck me as weird if you're trying to kill someone. Why not have it loaded with 3 shells or fuck it if you're a criminal and pull the pin for 5? Kind of looks like it in this picture too.
McAdams is definitely into some kink. She weirded the guy out in ep 1 with some request, then started watching that porn in ep 2. Kind of a long shot, but I wonder if she's into some kind of "lifestyle" and that overlaps with Caspere's death.
In my view, Woody's performance was as masterful as McConaughey's. In a way, Hart's character was more complex to portray because he had to evoke a facade of everything being fine and dandy as a family man, while everything he held dear slowly crumbled underneath. I do agree though, there is no one 'normal' in this show so far, in the way that Hart appeared to be 'normal' from the exterior.

Plus they mentioned when viewing Casper's body that the crotch was blown off with a heavy round shotgun blast. I think he only put the other round in and shot him again when he realized that the first one wasn't enough to incapacitate him.
That rock was in that shrinks office too. they made a quick scan to it, kinda like at that green house in the first season
Think the psychiatrist and McAdams dad are involved somehow, but agree that we haven't met the birdman yet (if he even matters).
Birdman is a Reggie Ledoux type, just a connection to where the real power is. I also think Bezzirides' past will provide the information needed to solve the case. Her penchant for the kinky shit is more than just a character flaw. Something happened in her past will give her information needed to come up with a defining lead. We already know/knew Velcorro's past issues and how they motivated him. We will see what Woodrow and Bezzirides' past provide the rest of the way
I think it is clear he is not dead. Spoiler In the preview one of the cops makes reference to him being shot. I think he would have said killed if he was dead I also find it interesting that Vaughn's character sent him there to investigate right after it appeared that Vaughn was losing his loyalty and that he was considering going straight.
