I'm so confused. I'm really loving this show now. Please don't fuck this up walking dead. Carol is the best character on the show.
Guess I'm the only one who wasn't thrilled with the episode. I had this scenario built up in my head where the Wolves had been stalking Rick's group and picked the perfect time to attack and set the horn off intentionally to completely ruin their plan to move the herd. But it turns out the Wolves were just complete morons who attacked a fortified city with armed lookouts and an armory with nothing but bladed weapons and the horn thing was a complete accident.
Why is Morgan suddenly a pussy and not wanting to kill people? The same dude who had 20 death traps set up back home and sniping from rooftops. He's been outside long enough to know not to be a "you don't have to kill" guy. Oh well still great episode. The herd is still on the loose so next week should be good too. Was worried they'd try to put it all in one episode. Most probable its not the last we see of the wolves either
While I have no real complaint, considering the somewhat complicated zombie trap they set up in those trucks a few episodes back, I also thought they'd plan their attack a bit better. But then again, I think they're supposed to just be ruthless savages so it sorta makes sense they'd just go in hog wild
I was disappointed with the Wolves intent, and somewhat of their execution, but I also think these were just the first wave to test the strength of the town.
The trap was definitely part of what made me think they had some level of intelligence. Aaron and Daryl are not complete idiots and they were dead without Morgan randomly showing up. A bit of a scouting party. That thought definitely crossed my mind as I tried to make sense of it. And those who made it back out of Alexandria left with some valuable information with regards to the armory and other features of the town. If that's the way it ends up going then credit to the show. It may not matter a ton with the herd incoming though.
the lady in the armory will end up killing someone. I've though the teenage girl was part of the wolves. The comic book she was reading in her first episode was "wolfman" and when she was climbing over the walls I figured it was giving intel.
Dyke chick (forget her name, but is always hanging with Eugene), is she pregnant? Obviously not on the show, but there were a couple of times the camera shot made it look like she was pregnant as fuck and they were trying to mask it.
How many wolves are there? And glad that like 10 random ppl in the town got got. Always like the quick population inflation to show scale but then amc's broke asses will future 4 characters only the next 6 episodes to save costs
1. Thought for sure Morgan was going to get blasted by the fatty in the pantry after his anti-killing rant 2. Carl's masterbatory material is definitely one of the wolves and the one who took the pics (reason she kept sneaking away). JSS 3. Carol is awesome
The pics were left behind in the car at the Wolves' trap that Daryl and Aaron got stuck in last season. That's why Aaron was so upset seeing them. He felt that by leaving them behind he had led them right to Alexandria. I really don't think Enid is part of the Wolves. Agree with the random stuff. That's part of why all this "action" happening didn't do anything for me. Oh no, Lydia or Sylvia or Valerie or some other worthless character I was introduced to 38 seconds ago is having their limbs hacked off. The... the humanity. And IF that was a test wave or a scouting party there better be A LOT of Wolves. I'm really thinking there aren't though and they were just idiots.
Kinda thought it was just a first assault. Really hope the wolves have a Leader that is just pulling the strings and not insane like the rest.
Carol is taking the arc left behind by killing Andrea early. Thankfully we don't have to watch her fuck Dale. Spoiler
Absolutely think Enid is with the wolves. The wolves said something about "we aren't supposed to be here", meaning humans shouldn't be here anymore. Last season when Cooorrraall and Enid were hiding in the tree she said something to the effect of it being the zombies world now. During the attack she's just calmly walking around with a shit ton of keys to houses and when she was sitting back to back with Cooorrraall she started to say something about the lack of security in Alexandria and "that's why we..." but then Cooorrraall cuts her off. I think she was going to say something about why the wolves attacked. I kept waiting for her to knife him. Then when the wolves leave she disappears too.
Just finished the episode and so many questions and theories, all of which would probably get me thread banned for possible spoilers.
Comic readers only, as I am confused about something and don't want to spoil anything because I'm trying to figure out a theory. So yeah, don't click on it if you aren't caught up to like issue 100. Spoiler that long haired dude is Derrick and the Wolves are the Scavengers or are they going to combine them and the Saviors? Or is that long haired dude just a decoy and they introduce Derrick later and save the Saviors, thus teasing us even longer?
Spoiler They've kind of borrowed things from each of the outside groups they encounter in the comics thus far. The Hunters (cannibals) in the comics were only like 5 people just roaming and they ate Dale in some backyard. In the TV show they were setup in the huge factory like the Saviors. The Scavengers were much smaller in the comics than this group. Think it was just Derek and like 6-7 others. And they roamed around in a van or some shit. Derek got sniped by Andrea before even getting in the gates. The Saviors were huge. 70+. I don't think this group is closely analogous to any of the comic groups. The timing is right in line with the Scavengers but that's about the only similarities I see. I think they're mostly doing their own thing. Maybe it's a scout group sent out by Negan but I think they save most of his story for next season. I'm thinking we'll be introduced to him, the hilltop, and the trade routes/agreements etc in the second half of this season. Think the "war" will be next season.
Spoiler yeah that's kind of what I was thinking. Just combine the 2 and the events and lump them into one. Make "Derrick" like a scout party leader and his group like the outsiders for shit like this and still have the main one holed up in the "Sanctuary".
The red (blood?) marked "A" on the house where our intrepid band of zombie killers lives (you see Carol look at it). Was that always there or did someone (Enid) mark the house for a reason.
I'll have to check again but for some reason I thought the little boy had the stamp when he was sitting on the stairs waiting for Carol and she told him about how his father was an asshole and to get over it.
Yea, she (along with several other cast members) lives across the street from me and is definitely pregnant. Also, maybe I missed something but how did Morgan get back to the town so quickly but it's gonna take Rick 3 days running down the road to get back? It's probably some detail I didn't pay much attention to, but that legit bothered me.
After Rick killed the one guy in the season premiere he told Morgan to head back and let them know their progress or something along those lines
We've seen in Fear The Walking Dead the military go a tad off the rails for their own self-perseverance. I'd love to see a band of US Soldiers or National Guardsmen who've loaded up on a few humvees and other heavily armoured vehicles make it into the story. Have, say, a Major who was in command of a company consisting of 150 or so soldiers at a safe zone go apeshit and turn into a warlord. He's armed to the teeth with plenty of ammo, guns, gas, and transport. Some of the troops are with him on raging war across the countryside as kings, but a small group aren't on board. Somehow Rick and his crew come in contract with the War Lord and his group and it is either work for him or be killed.
Spoiler: huge spoiler for comic and show watchers - this didn't happen in the comic So there are leaks out there that Glenn dies this week. He and Nicholas are trapped on top of a dumpster surrounded by walkers, Nicholas kills himself and his body knocks Glenn off the dumpster, both are devoured. People speculating it could be some kind of hallucination/dream. Spoiler: if you read that AND read the comic read this Obviously Glenn is killed by Negan in the comic and it's pretty big and out of nowhere. IF this is real then it would leave some huge shoes to be filled by a character for Negan to kill. Possibly Daryl. But killing off two huge characters like that in probably one season would be pretty insane.
this episode was filmed right down the road from me. Cool seeing the town, knowing which alley they should use. crazy
CJ Mosley @TreyDeuce32RTR 1m1 minute ago Dang I thought Glenn was gonna beat death again! #TheWalkingDead
