The show I looked at was Dave and Mayer. Tickets go on sale in the morning.

 

I'm going to Dave's late show Monday night. Didn't even know this Mayer thing was happening. May try to go to that as well.

 

Looks like I'll be taking a new job sometime soon that is going to be totally WFH for at least 6 months, but probably closer to a year. Our daughter won't start daycare for a while so my wife is urging me to do some sort of coworking thing so I'll be able to concentrate for several hours without major interruptions. Anyone here in the area have a work situation like this?

Looks like there is a "hotdesk" type of thing that WeWork offers in the Colony Square building. Only $250 a month and you don't have to sign up for more than one month at a time with free juice/coffee which isn't too bad.

 

I live up in Doraville and would only be taking MARTA. No way in hell I'd go to mid-town or downtown in a car for just this.

 

Anything good going on this weekend?

No, it would be my own money as they're looking for an office space, it just might take some time.

Some guy on reddit is trying to get me to join the City Club of Buckhead where he often works remotely. It's is a hell of a lot cheaper (~$100/mo) and comes with a bunch of amenities and a not so bad dress code, but seems kind of douchey. I'll have to check it out.

 

I've looked at the same, today is my first week working from home but with a conference in Dallas I'm only here Monday and today. Problem with WeWork, to me, is that it's out in the open and so closely similar to other places. If I was to pay, I'd want a private office. I've been told I would get tired of DD/Starbucks with the music but there is a good coffee shop in Oakhurst that may work for you.

 

Regus is just so expensive, like all in north of $600 for a private office.

 

What reddit are you on discussing this?

I'd be very open to joining a City Club of Midtown/Downtown for $100/month.

I know a guy who works for Roam Innovative Workplace as one of their GMs. Used to work with him when I lived in town. Think they have multiple locations around Atlanta with spaces for coworking.

Those damn kids do that shit all the time downtown. Seems extremely unsafe and probably only a matter of time before enough people complain to the cops to try and shut it down.

 

Did Marcel late night on Saturday, what an incredible (if not slightly drunken bias) burger for only 12. My cocktail cost more than that.

 

Police have already announced they won't pursue ATV's on city streets, see them a good bit on Memorial and they turn it into a drag strip.

 

Been happening for years. It's not getting stopped anytime soon.

 

Normally I've seen a dozen or so riding at once, but that is a huge group.

 

Why would they release a statement like that? Clearly I'm missing something, but that seems like they're green lighting a crime and public disturbance.

Believe in response to complaints, said it would increase the chance of accidents and decrease overall safety on the road if they pursued.

Correct. D.C. police always said the same thing whenever this happened up there. Said the likelihood of them driving up on sidewalks, down alleys, etc was very high and put pedestrians at danger.

The D.C. police said they placed more efforts on finding out where these groups would stage their rides and raid them preemptively.

 

They also announced they'd use helicopters to spy on them.

Anyone been to PS404? Have friends coming to town next week that have visited in the past, so we've done a lot of other staples and I wanted to try something new.

 

I went on a Saturday afternoon. Solid spot on the Westside. One guy was really mad they didn't carry fireball while I was there if that's a problem.

 

Just talked to two construction guys at stadium. Said 60-40 it'll be done by Bama game. Wouldn't go as high as 70-30. One was big Bama guy.
