Brew at the Zoo Jazz Fest - Piedmont Park hike Palisades or float the Hooch obviously Beltline crawl with some PCM/KSM sprinkled in
You can come watch rugby at my apartment Saturday. Exeter vs Saracens in the Aviva Premiership Final at 9:30am on NBC Sports.
I live off Buford Highway in Doraville just ITP. Not super dense but a ton of Asian cuisine and people. If you want to be more of a hipster then Chamblee is very close by and tons of mixed use developments are being built.
You're invitation was always open, just don't tell wu. The Pod might take us to San Francisco next year for the 7s World Cup. You should make the drive there and hang out with F-list rugby celebs.
Last year, GA played the backdrop for more top 100 grossing movies than any other place in the world. #GeorgiaFilm (link: http://bit.ly/2r10Nnw) bit.ly/2r10Nnw
I haven't really missed D.C. at all to be honest. I think the only real thing I miss is places like Compass / La Colombe in walking distance or places like Glenn's. Otherwise everything else has been so much better.
Ended up going to Big Sky because some guy I work with is getting deported by Trump and that's where they were. Fuck that place and all buckhead bars in the butt.
Legit been to big sky once. We had a super bowl party at my place in athens and me and a buddy decided to drive to Atlanta at halftime to be there when the game ended. Get to big sky abd they want us to pay $100 cover. Yao faced like a mother fucker and watches the collapse from the parking lot on the projector. Went in after the game ended had one beer and left. Agree the place sucks.
Trying to hit up all 20 of these burgers at some point... Never had most of them regrettably, but a lot of the ones in the top 10 just have much better dining options than a simple burger. Also, I found a bunch of lists, like Thrillist and Zagat as well. Zagat's is closer to this one iirc, so I'll just use it. Right now, I've had burgers at 5, 7, 9, 10, 15, and 20. I'd probably rank those in that order, but I might put 20 behind 7, and 9 at the 20th spot. Anyone agree with the list, or is there one that's criminally not on it I should try? http://www.atlantamagazine.com/20-best-burgers/
Bocado too high Eating a burger at The Optimist what? No mention of Local Three McDowell list is shit
First weekend in Atlanta in a while, got to check out Krogg and Ponce, thought both places were really cool. That pork belly Bao from Krogg is damn, good ate 3 Hard to beat the diversity of food offered on Buford highway. Ate at some Bangladesh place,no clue what I ate but it was damn goos as well For those of you that golf ITP where do yall play? Been driving to Echelon/St Marlow Gov Towne Club wondering if there are any tracks worth playing closer to the city.
For what it is, vortex belongs on every list. Zinburger is really good too. Grindhouse is too low. Anne's ghetto burger belong on the list. Holeman and finch is top 3 hands down....as long as it's from the original location.
Still gotta have Anne's... Have heard a lot of good things about it. One Eared Stag burger I had for the first time yesterday. The meat was cooked great, but it was the size of about 4 burgers. I was pretty full after eating only half.
You're right in that some of those places have better options. I'm not going to get a burger at the Optimist. I love Grindhouse, and it's my go to burger. It's close and easy.
The Thrillist list had Fred's or some shit as #1. I'm pretty sure that's the place in Krog, and I'm pretty sure (from what I've heard) that #1 for that place is outrageously high. I always wonder why Fox Bros burger never sniffs any of these lists. Their burgers are so good.
There was another list with Illegal Food on it -- has anyone had that one? I think it's like top 3 for my GF, and she's been a lot more places than I have.
Heard much hype about it. It was overrated IMO. Not bad, just not mind blowing. Could not agree more with Larry Sura . You're fucking up if you order a burger at most of those places. Grindhouse is a personal favorite.
Is that the place by the Lindbergh Marta? If so, the entire list is flawed. That place is serving frozen Costco mozz sticks and wings for sure.
I was pleasantly surprised with Shake Shack, but Grindhouse is usually my go-to. Good burger, convenient and quick service. I'll throw another vote in for George's also.
Most underrated restaurant in the city. Don't tell anyone though I like getting my table on Friday nights.
I got a cheesesteak the one time I went there, it was very good. OK Cafe has a surprisingly good burger. The US Cafe on S Cobb Dr / EW Connector is good but I certainly wouldn't tell anyone to go there. The one on Lindbergh is real bad.
This doesn't belong on the list, but I freaking love the Carpetbagger at Corner Tavern in Little 5. I always thought Diesel had a good bar burger as well. Anyone know why Fox Bros Burgers never make any of these lists? My guess is that it's too crazy of a burger, and doesn't really compare to the others.
Yeah. There is hamburger meat on it though right? I haven't had one since meeting Corky Bucek and Where Eagles Dare there for lunch before the Braves tailgate where everyone got shitfaced a couple years back.
