I'm planning on hunting shrines for the foreseeable future. I wasn't planning on going to my second dungeon (i've finished Zora and Goron) but I started walking that way and sort of just found my way there and said fuck it. I have yet to bother taming horses. Is that a worthwhile task? I usually shrine warp my way around the world.
Not sure what to do next I've beat 15 or so shrines, and I've tried to expand to other regions but I get killed quickly. Main quests are Gannon, Devine beasts, and memories. I've done one memory, but I feel like I need to level up before I continue. Should I just keep exploring?
Now I'm at 90 shrines, 3 dungeons and nearly at the 4th. Any reason I shouldn't finish the 4th before doing anything else? Does it force you along any path after you beat the 4th?
I'll spoiler this for other's sake. Spoiler I've beaten Zora, Rito, and Goron and have Gerudo left when it comes to the Divine Beasts. I have 90 out of however many shrines. What I'm wondering is once I've beaten the Gerudo beast, will I have to go direct to Hyrule Castle or anything or can I go shrine/seed hunting before I do that?
It will, I absolutely love it and after probably 50 hours of playing time I've only done about 20ish shrines and one dungeon. I came to a moment last night, while exploring, that I've only found MAYBE 1/4 of the whole map, if that. Just kinda took me aback knowing I have barely scratched the surface and I'm loving it and there's so much more. I haven't finished but it may just be the best Zelda ever.
Finished the game and found all 120 shrines. I didn't upgrade all the armor, nor find the korok seeds, but I know it would take months to do that so I'm done. Spoiler I don't know if it was because I had the ancient armor maxed out and used mighty fruit, but Ganon was really easy. That kind of bummed me out.
So I got the game the first week of December. Just beat it yesterday. Will be downloading both DLC packs this week after taking a few days to digest. - found all 120 shrines (really mad that I only had to google once... and it was to find the very last one (the Goron challenge of the hot plates... which only appears after having done the other one up in the far northeast... so that's why I was so confused... as I was dang sure I had been EVERYWHERE) - found just under 200 korok seeds... no way I'm finding all 900. Besides, this is the award for all 900: http://www.ign.com/articles/2017/12...elda-breath-of-the-wild-gets-you-a-giant-poop - I did the shrines in this order: Zora, Rito, Goron, Gerudo. Rito is the easiest boss, Zora is the hardest. Gerudo is probably the hardest puzzle. - I'm so very angry I still can't go to Gerudo City in my own clothes, despite saving them. - Didn't beat a lynel until almost the very end. Those dudes are ridiculous... but have the best weapons. - Was really freaked out by the dragons forever... I was pretty sure I was going to have to fight them for the longest time. - So much is determined by where you choose to jump off the plateau and go. I think in a few years when I go back and play it again I'll be intentional in going in a completely different order. - Guardians are cake once you have a nice store of ancient arrows. - The general feel of the castle, with the augmented classic theme playing, was mesmerizing and amazing. - This is my favorite game of all-time, surpassing FFVI. I put in around 140 hours. I saw everything, I think... but can't be sure, obviously. - I'm excited to finally look at this thread and I really hope they build another Zelda game using this type of game engine.
Damn, all 120 shrines that quick is impressive I think I’m at about 90 but I haven’t played in a while
Toy has special connection to hardware. Once scanned, it generates a new asset in the game (usually character or item)
I liked collecting horses. I really like the giant horse you can get. The horseback archery challenge is the hardest thing in the game, imo.
sorry for spamming the thread... just really excited. I was talking to my cousin who played for 130 hours... and I have no idea how he never bought his own house or helped build Tarrey Town. He looked at me like I was crazy when I mentioned those things.
I just woke up to my neighbor BLARING the Water Temple theme WTFFFFFF My PTSD was in remission goddamnit
It's a pretty fun time, not overly difficult, but fun. Good 2 player mode to play with the kid. Beautiful cut scenes and backstory, too.
So I suck at this game as admitted in the switch thread. Only done 5 shrines so far. Is there a rune in all of them? Or what do you get if there’s no rune? Also, are there ever enemies/bosses or is a shrine just strictly puzzle based?
there are only new runes in the shrines on the Great Plateau. All other shrines give you a monk’s spirit orb, which can be exchanged for additional hearts or more stamina (by praying at any Hylia statue in a town or in the Temple of Time). Some shrines are “Tests of Strength” which involve fighting enemies. Some have enemies along the way of the puzzle as well.
Major Test of Strength shrines are the only ones that should give you a real test. The shrines are mostly chill experiences.
