PC patched again and now I've had 6 crashes today. Maybe it's just the part of the game I'm in right now, but pretty frustrating having to replay sections over and over again not because of death but because it crashed 1 minute before I got to the next meditation point.
Save points is also a fucking relic of 80s video game design that somehow gets a pass. Just let me stop whenever I want and pick up where I left off.
I mean also these days you can just put your console in rest and it literally does what you just said.
What Arrec said. I can turn my console off and Xbox will still have the new series's "quick resume" available when I turn it back on and can load right back into where I was. Only time that doesn't happen is when I have to do a hard reset of the console or accidentally delete the quick resume shortcut (feature is bugged for Apex and Fifa so I clear them from time to time). Was the same with Hogwarts. Hell the only games I'm not big on quick resume on are the FromSoft games because pausing the game in the open world doesn't pause the enemies and stuff
The "meditation points" are stolen from FromSoftware games but save spots / checkpoints have been a thing since baby TLAU got his NES in 1987. Survivability is not a fad it's the foundation of role playing video games going back to Super Mario Brothers.
Piece of shit game just crashed during what I assume is the final cutscene. Reload and I’m back at the focus point before the boss. Putting this shit on story mode.
Sorry the PC fam is having such a hard time, I feel for you guys. PS5 has been problem free, only stuttering I've gotten was yesterday after the new patch and that seemed to be in a small localized spot. I finally made it to "that part" about halfway through and it is absolutely worth the hype, one of the coolest moments i've had in gaming in a long time
I got there and thought I was about to be finished with the game and then checked the Quest % and was only at ~60%. Pleasantly surprised
Also, reading through the comments, glad I'm not the only one who hates the map, absolute garbage. Love the gameplay but that map is trash for sure.
Yeah I would have thought the same but my son has already played through it so I knew it wasn't close, plus all the people who have been geeking out over it kept saying "halfway through". I'm on about 14 hours, forgot to check the quest % though, good call.
I’m assuming it gets a lot better after you get off Coruscant? That’s where I stopped last weekend and was kind of bored.
Yeah you haven't seen anything yet, there's some decent action in that part but it takes a bit to get going for sure
Its not survivability if your game crashes and you lose half an hour of progress or when real life happens and u need to stop what you're doing. Making things with low QoL isn't how you make hard accomplishments feel rewarding, its just making a shittier experience.
Obviously I'm not talking about a game crashing. JFC. And TLAU not acting like I know--as a child of the 80s--what a one-hit death is is fucking absurd. Fucking Internet people.
I'm just saying survivability is not a "fad." Been the game as long as there's been a game. Some franchises have just made exceptions through the years
Finished it last night. Loved the game. One request would have been to expand the open world on Jedha to give you a little more to do. Not really much desire to do an NG+
No problems on PS5. Played primarily with the double bladed and blaster. Solid but predictable story, but really good character development. That dark side power up was fun. Combat got difficult enough where I had to change the difficulty for a couple bosses
I beat the game on the standard difficulty but definitely lowered it to do all the rifts like the one with two Rancors.
I was pretty done by the end so I lowered it to beat the last two story bosses, I just wanted to see the story through
I have reached a point on Jedha that I can’t progress. The game crashes my digital PS5 at the same spot every time. I know some of the other console guys haven’t encountered issues but I think there are just as many people that have, and it’s pretty inexcusable from Respawn.
Finished this the other day before FFXVI came out. Pyloon's saloon and the cast of side characters throughout was a major positive for me. Combat being as smooth as it is with possibly the best in game movement ever vaults this up to #1 for me for the years releases. I'm pretty sure FF is going to overtake it though (from what I've played). Pretty pumped about the 3rd game in this trilogy. Hopefully they can stick the landing on that one just as well as Survivor. As far as performance is concerned, I had some hitches in transition to cutscenes mostly before the patch. I'm pretty sure I had no other problems, and that one was gone after the patch. Hopefully your issues get fixed prerecordedlive
I ended up changing his outfit and it let me past the part it kept locking up at. Then I changed it back and never had another issue. I never did get the ability to initiate any of the bounties, though. I don’t know what they did but I think one of the patches actually broke that side quest system entirely.
Just starting this, a couple hours in. My first beef with combat is no indicator when you’re being attacked from behind. You’re telling me Spiderman and Batman can know this but a fucking Jedi can’t?
I’ enjoying a fair amount of the game play and exploring but had my first crash last night and had been playing for almost an hour since the last save so I just turned it off. Had a cut scene cause crashes in GoW but it had auto saved like 30 second before so it wasn’t a big deal to eventually figure out. If this one happens again and I can’t save anywhere near it, I’ll be uninstalling for good.
Never had a crash from start to finish on XB. Still haven’t had a crash in MW3 which the internet makes me believe is a gd miracle maybe it’s an XB thing
Nearing the end(I thought this was the case 12 hours again and then I felt driven to 100% Koboh). I died during what I assume is the final fight(I’ve made this assumption two previous times in this game) and I have a gripe about the story. Spoiler fighting Bode on Tanalorr and when you get him to half health, there’s a cut scene and you have to go all dark side or die. I thought it was an optional thing and if I chose not to, Merrin would swoop in and save me, and instead I just died. It’s not a big deal, I was kicking Bode’s ass and I’ll finish the fight/game today but… Never have I been more agitated this isn’t KOTOR and decisions actually matter. Maybe the story works out and we get to see Cal wrestle with the dark side and win…I just am not a fan of the way the story is going currently
