Which makes me feel even better about sitting over here cracking PSA 10's and BGS 9.5's slabs like they're candy. All that effort and waiting someone put into getting those grades and I'm fucking everything up, including pop counts.
It's the main reason I have yet to send in some of my more valuable stuff, the mantles marris mays etc. that and I'm scared shitless they will come back as a 1-2
PSA 5 or 6 almost always means there's a dent or nick of some kind on the card. What does the back look like?
Most likely a surface indention or wrinkle that you missed. Grading is subjective and you're at the mercy of one set of eyes on a random day, but they don't typically put a 6 on a modern card unless there's something significant.
I have a couple of big PC cards that I want re-slabbed or encapsulated with a different company but I'm just too afraid to put into the mail system. Mind you I've sent tons and tons of stuff for grading and consignment but I would be crushed if one of these got lost.
Ripped the last one I had. Will snag a few more and call it good. Highly recommend hangers if you’re going buy series 1 retail Another Elly and this beaut Spoiler
picked up 3 blasters of Monopoly at Target and pulled this absolute bomb #/50 nearly positive it’s a 10 as well, buddy is getting overnighted to PSA tomorrow morning
A traditional Prizm Orange /49 would probably net 2-3x the Monopoly /49 version. Still an amazing hit from a blaster though.
Sent it through the Super Express option for $250. Max value on that level is $5000 so there's a chance they upcharge to the $500. That said, I'd be ecstatic to get the upcharge!
So according to the groups, there is more to that story. Guy bought the Spurs but payment didn't go through, then allegedly the breaker verbally said he'd give him the spot if he paid later, which of course the guy may not have done had he not pulled a crazy hit.
What does topps give you for a missing hit? Cleaning up today I found an empty box of bowman u I set aside because it only had one auto in it. I started the claim online but guess I forgot to cut off proof of purchase and actually send it. Wondering if it's worth the effort
I'm not attempting to post pictures anymore. PSA sub popped, most of it was Frank Thomas & Tim Hudson autos/numbered. I did submit my Corbin Carroll Chrome Sapphire Auto /199 & it came back a 10.
thought maybe this was the case "junk wax" "dead market" "anything made after 2005 sucks" "sticker autos lmao" "grading is a racket" Yeah man, we get it, you hate the hobby
redeemed an Anthony Richardson Glass case hit from Absolute, hopefully it comes quickly because they should already be made. They just don't put the Glass cards in packs for obvious reasons. That said, it's Panini so could be forever.
Had an ebay account of a guy who clearly sells on whatnot because all his cards listed for sale have a whatnot card stand and he has a ton of cards listed for sale offer me less than 50% of my asking price on a card, clearly he has ideas of flipping it. I rejected it instead of countering because it was so far off. Sends me a message this morning while I'm at work "is there anyway you can be around (the lowball offer he made)" i don't respond because I'm at work, since this morning he has followed up with 4 more follow up messages without a response to any of them further attempting to haggle. Feel like if I keep not responding the offer will keep going up
"is there any way you can be around (my asking price)" should be the response. Whenever I get hit with the "what's your lowest?" I always default to "what's your highest?" or "make an offer and we will find out!"
