Disappointing that I see it on less and less now. Maybe it's just my area but its lost a lot of its time slots in the past year or so.
Currently have this: But I just found my cord for my 2TB drive that has a little bit a space so i'm gonna upgrade to this: Only 133 GB.
this is the only proper argument out of respect i gotta say seinfeld > curb, but damn Curb's plots were good. on a side note, i was at a family gathering (not my fam) and a girl busted out "scene it seinfeld" trivia game. I was freaking people out how quickly I was answering questions.
Seinfeld had some of the funniest main characters in sitcom history but what really made it great was the huge roster of peripheral/supporting characters that could pop in every now and then without missing a beat. That is what helps make it the best of all time.
see this is kind of what i love about curb. the cameos from celebs playing themselves (or at least a caricature of themselves) are amazing. that and the writing is just so fucking gold. from now on ill stick to talking seinfeld ITT
I love Curb as well, LD is the fucking man. I actually prefer him in the lead role to Jerry but the other characters help push Seinfeld slightly ahead IMO. Love me some fucking Leon though.
Absolutely love Seinfeld. If I'm home when it comes on every night I'm watching. The assman episode was on the other night. Cracks me up every time. It has been my experience that the people who don't like Seinfeld are the kind of people who think Armageddon was a great movie, which therefore voids any further opinions they might have about TV/movies. Completely unrelated but you get the idea.
Pretty positive it did. I know I have seen it where he says that line and then chugs and smokes, followed by a burp.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mV7m6IIN_tI This is my all-time favorite episode with Bryan Cranston playing Tim Whatley. The dentist who is converting to Judaism so he can use the jokes.
I keep 4 items in my car at all times so I'm ready to bust them out at anytime: 1. Soccer equipment 2. Ice skates 3. Tennis rackets 4. Seinfeld Scene-It Despite how dated it is to watch now its still the best. I think the more current feel to Curb on occasion makes me think of ranking it higher but what they managed to do over such a long period of time in the constraints of network tv is amazing.
It's dated but thankfully I was born early enough to get just about everything. I never got to see most of it live but have seen the entire series several times. It is interesting to watch and pick out everything that people today and in the future won't get. The biggest thing is if people are separated or lost, they're fucked. That's all old tv shows though.
can't believe it took this long for this thread to happen. I have been watching Seinfeld since I was 5. Have seen every episode at least 5 times. My dad still has it on every day 6 to 7. Cramer is the funniest.
Was just thinking the other day about how Always Sunny is a more racy Seinfeld, in that it is also a show about nothing.
AD > Seinfeld is one of the most asinine things i've seen on here there isn't AD without Seinfeld plus AD season 3 kinda blows at least you didn't say Scrubs was better than both
Looking back on it now, I can't imagine what it would have been like to watch Seinfeld as it came on. It was obviously before DVR so you had to arrange your life to catch it, or you were missing it. I absolutely would have cried like a baby when the finale ended.
I don't really get into Television series, mainly a sports guy. But I will be damned if I don't sit down and watch Seinfeld anytime I see it on. My parents were legit; we would watch the new episodes every Thursday night. Family event.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsUX-sCMDuw&feature=related love it when they take a break and Kramer has chips and soda. love it
still though, calling AD, a show that is great for 2 seasons better than a consensus top 5 sitcom of all time is ridiculous
I was in high school and college for most of the Seinfeld run. The first couple of years people didn't really notice, but I remember The Contest being the big episode that put it in everyone's realm of consciousness, and from then on it was an every Thursday night institution. That's where "Must See TV" came from -- on Thursdays it was Friends, Seinfeld, ER, and then some throw in shows like The Single Guy (underrated), Caroline in the City, that Brooke Shields show I can't remember the name of, etc. It absolutely caused people to plan their schedules around being in front of the TV
amazingly rewatchable...eps still as funny the 10th time as the first...impossible for me to pick a fav episode still think George's parents walking in on him jerkin it, and dropping this line is as good as it gets: "I don't understand you, I really don't. You have nothing better to do at 3 o'clock in the afternoon? I go out for a quart of milk, I come home and find my son treating his body like an amusement park."
