Its public but its still going to take a day or two before they can retrieve it from the locked room behind Mt Rushmore and get it flown back to NC.
Looking forward to the gross misinterpretations of the ACC’s GoR spreading through the internet like wildfire
dunno why the acc is trying to serve random employees and not Clemsons registered agent/board of trustees
Nobody actually wants to fix college football at this point. We might as well just finish breaking it.
Honestly I just read through that and it would kinda rule. All of power 5 included. Probably much more regional conferences. Promotion / relegation for 10 teams each year in Go5
bullshit that only G5 can be relegated if you’re going to use that model no surprise this is a Gordon Gee brainchild
Is there a mechanism that allows us to leave out or remove Florida State and Clemson? That's all we really want after all.
Thus far, the group is struggling to gain traction with the schools that would play in their proposed “Super League.” The ACC board of directors heard a presentation from the group in February. However, planned dinners with administrators from the Big Ten, SEC and Big 12 all were called off. Spokespersons for the Big Ten and SEC said commissioners Petitti and Greg Sankey, respectively, have not met with Perna’s group.
FSU and Clemson pay 300 mill each by the end of the term of the existing deal to get out of the acc to accept 50% shares from B1G / SEC then the 80 team super league is formed after payments are complete
Gonna be closer to $200 million and not payed in a lump sum but yearly so when the conference collapses we’re off the hook
this is ultimately pretty close to what I believe will happen, but because this is college football, it won’t make that much sense, and it will take a very long time. it will probably be more like two 35ish member conferences in the B1G and SEC, one with FOX and one with ESPN. the proposal here would be much better overall imo, but I think one way or the other, we land at 60-70 teams negotiating as one or two entities for TV rights.
80 is a much bigger number than i expected to see but is also more appropriate and logical than what i thought we'd get. it's fbs breaking off from d1 again but this time it is totally different and won't expand to 130 teams within 50 years, probably.
